The Famous back switch it is present in the higher power series, from FC 6500 upwards. In the Ts,Tsl, or Fce3000,4800 series it is not there..in other models I don't know!

He uses a 6500, that's why I asked. If they made the knob an off switch it will do the same as the back switch did. None of the lights need that back switch.

I have multiple wattage meters all read differently.
10-25 watts. It can also change from one day to the next by a few watts..
The light dimension is suitable for 4x4ft or 5x5ft. But 5x5ft is more suitable.

oh, that is very strange.
The fce-4800 I have is still performing lovely in 100x100x180 had it nearly a year now- as I’ve said previously there are no shady spots.
Been considering an upgrade in tent size for a while

oh, that is very strange.
Not really, It's very common. The components inside vari that affects the readout. I don't consider them accurate. They do give us an approx wattage, for our needs thats fine..
If any want a more accurate watt reading use a Multimeter.
