Don't sand that mud with a power sander. Use a pole sander. A power sander will micro blast that dust into the air and it will be a catastrophe. If you use a slow touch with the pole sander most of the dust will fall straight to the floor without getting airborne. Wear a mask no matter what. Being competent at sheetrock is a skill everyone should aspire to. Like everything the more you do it the better you get. Good luck

I'd just rent a Porter Cable vacuum drywall sander from Ace Hardware. I think it's like $20. Makes the job real easy; I'm building a new grow room at the moment too so I feel your pain. Keep your eye on the prize! :D

BTW, IDK what your budget is, but I'm on the "fuck it" budget lol.. look into flame retardant paint, and flame retardant poly. I'm also looking into water leak alarms, auto fire extinguishers, hot/cold alarms. Just bought a few remote controlled outlets for watering pumps, etc., no skimping on security cams either.

Looking forward to seeing what you have planned. I'll probably kick it off with some CBD Critical Mass from CBD Crew this winter. I need some good joint weed that doesn't demolish me after a few hits. Keep up the good work!

lol There's an idea to! I have an ace 2 miles down the road! My eyes are definitely focused on the prize for sure! If it wasn't for work and I could just put in dedicated time it would have been done already instead of a few hours here and there but it's getting there.

My budget is more like the "oh fuck" I hope I don't go broke budget for now hahaha but I am atleat looking at mildew resistant paint, after my next run I'll be looking into a few different controllers I wasn't to get the blue lab monitor/controller that displays ppm temp and ph, also A high temp controller.

I have a few strain options at the moment I've already been gifted some bluedream clones some og#18 when I'm ready and I have a buddy that worked a few years at getting a good pheno of some grand daddy diesel that he crossed 👍👍 thanks man hope everything comes along good for you as well

the easiest/cheapest way to keep the dust down is to hold a shop vac under where you are sanding.... or if you are lucky enough to get someone to hold the vac for you while you sand..

I'll have to look again but my power sander has a dust catcher if I'm thinking right I can hook it right up to the shop vac if I'm lucky but I did get a pole sander to si now it's just th matter of doing it lol

If you sell the house sometime down the line, the buyer is going to take one look at your basement and think "man this bedroom would make a great grow room".
