got it in the jaw

Hello,
I got hit in the jaw about 6 hours ago and ever since it has felt unusual. My bite feels misaligned although I'm not in a significant amount of pain. It hurts to clench teeth to the point that it isn't possible. It also hurts to open my mouth all the way and almost seems to move diagonally when I do. However, I can speak just fine and it hardly hurts at all when my jaw is relaxed. It just pains a little. Is this something I should be concerned about or should I consult a dentist in Brampton soon?

A myofascial therapist , rolfer or craniosacral therapist could help with any residual jaw, head or neck pain you may experience over the next few days and beyond. Heat and face stretches will go a long way in keeping the muscle soft when they want to splint from trauma.
Imagine making weird stretchy faces with your neck and jaw. I see you don't have enough posts to DM me so let me know if you want any further clarification.

It maybe dislocated, in which case you may not be able to open it at all by tomorrow. I spent a week unable to part my jaws at all following a wisdom tooth removal which dislocated mine.
Get as much solid food as you can today. It won't do you any harm if its not, and if it is, you won't regret it over the next week or so while it sorts itself out.
