Halloween...too bad

So I just noticed that Halloween is on a saturday this year ( at least in the northern hemisphere) That´s a real shame thanks to corona because , let´s face it, saturday is a perfect night for such a party:dance013:

Without a doubt certain kinds of people will throw and go to parties anyway - with or without the `right´kinds of masks.

What will you all do on the night? Any plans?

My wife and I will be attending a wedding that evening. Masks are required. Costumes are forbidden.

It's your constitutional right to go out in a costume and ask for candy.

Fuck anyone that says different, if the bums can beg on the medians so to the children can ask for candy.

lol I don´t think it´s in the constitution but I agree that kids can go out doing the usual. If they are protectd with a cool spooky face mask, why the hell not?

I echo the Italian Health Minister who said about Halloween in relation to Covid and staying distanced:

"...stupid American extravagance"!

My favorite holiday of the year and at our house we sit in the garage and give candy to what is normally a pretty good showing of kids and parents. Usually also have a few friend stop by and enjoy drinks and snacks etc. I keep a cooler of canned beer for any adult escorting the kids if they want. I even have repeat customers for more beer. Fuck stupid masks and so long as the trick or treaters are out we will be as well. My dog thinks all the kids are just stopping by to pet him.

I'm assuming parents have more sense than to allow their kids to go door to door looking for sweets from adults these days. Franky Boyle called that a delivery service for pedo's. Now its a helping hand for the virus to spread. I never did understand adults teaching their kids to beg anyway. There again, I never understood the celebration of a failed plot to blow up parliament either a few days later. The UK is strange at this time of year. A few more weeks and we'll have fat old men asking children to sit in their lap for a while in exchange of a promise of a present.

Wondering if homemade stuff is still legal to give out. I just don't like buying crap candy, would rather bake something.

I live too far off the road, out in the country, to ever get any kids. A non-event for me. Although I do grab a bag of M&Ms from a counter jar if they have any.

Going trick or treating like normal, will see how many have their lights on. Will stick a bowl of stuff out near the sidewalk.

Kids are in school full time here, so I figure if its alright for that then we will go out. I'm down in the burbs, we have far fewer restrictions than Denver. Chatting with various neighbors I believe many are making candy chutes to maintain social distance.

My grandmother used to make popcorn balls with Karo syrup, I think. Then wrapped in cellophane. That was decades ago.

Our 'hood doesn't get treaters. Trunk or Treat was the usual up in the mountains with a costume parade at school parking lot.

Used to get razor blades and ciggy butts in rewraped candy bar wrappers as a kid. KARMA be with you!!!
