Super Malawi Haze

Alright folks, she came down last Sunday, 17 wks and the scale spake 250 gr that might be a tad less when drier... the trim was the least I've ever had... almost no fan leaves there, they'd gone dry and dropped...

:tiphat:orfeas
I've not grown anything that spectacular before. She is a beauty and a beast. Respect to you my friend and respect to her, she looks like she can have an attitude and smack you up side the head if you're not careful!
If there was a vote for the plant of the year, you would have my vote.
Peace, God bless

Hi Kijell,

Don't worry friend, we are not here to compare ourselves with others, but to learn and enjoy :)

Looking forward to know your opinion about the new Nevil's Haze x Panama hybrid. Loud and refined incensey terpene profiles is one the main goals i had in mind when producing these new hybrids between the Dutch elite Haze hybrids from Nevil and Panama (and Kali China too).

Hey dubi,

a bit embarrassed posting after Orfeas :p that plant really looks awesome dude!

To be honest I am having a bit of trouble with these.
They had a bad spot in the room and were overgrown from the Killer A5 Haze which is way taller, getting not that much light which I fixed a few days ago also started giving her more P and K Nutes.
They also have problems from too much N from my soil. Leafs just getting brown fast from the tips and sides and also upper leaf yellowing.
Especially the second pheno which is a real late flowerer haze pheno I think. Panama pheno is a bit more tolerable and faster flowering

But I have read your post where you explain your soil mix you are using, this helped me a lot.
I already bought everything for this soilmix, also finally a real digital ph tester and will run 3 seeds of Neville Panama again for sure. Next time will be better! :)

Panama leaning Pheno Day 40 - Smell is kind of Incense Heaven :D

Ahooga! 6-7 ounces after she dries more, I'm guessing. Not bad at ALL for a tiny little indoor plant;) And easy trim always interests me:biggrin: Killer orfeas!

Hello yeah you are right! :)
But I think I just found out what my problem was.

I have some custom built LED Panels but it seems they are not that good. For Vegetation phase they are quite good but in flowering it seems I really need another lamp.
Or to be more specific the LED only works with heavy indica leaning plants and I dont know why. Those get actually an okay yield.
With sativa leaves/plants they just seem to get brown and dry and nothing much happing at all. Had some really big plants just getting 10gr of bud.

I switched to a regular NDL Lamp last week and all sativas were beginning to get new flowers and show new life. So the next grow will be epic now that I know my problem! :dance013:

Nope. Sorry friend. Light is light doesn’t matter indica or sativa. Many sativa require higher light intensity to grow buds that aren’t really fluffy but getting brown crispy leaves because of light (unless it’s frying them with too much) is not a thing (least not that I’ve heard of..). I encourage you to check out the infirmary area... joe fresh has a really good guide for nutrient deficiencies.

My very superficial guess would be that if Indica are growing nice buds while sativa are getting crisped it’s probably too hot a soil.
Most Indica can eat a lot more without getting burned while some sativa are very very sensitive to over feed.

Hey thanks for the reply.
My LED Panels have specific Cree LED's with certain wave lengths in it, I got one with more white and far red leds built in and one with more orange and blue/white wavelengths.
So even these 2 will give different "light" I think cause of different led mixes. These were not made for growing cannabis exclusively.
I thought the NDL lamp might give a more complete light for the plants and that is why it could be better in flowering. The LED might just be good for support. But I dont really know.

But yes you are right I totally messed up my soil this time with some compost from the garden, already wrote it to dubi in my first post, it had way too much N in it I dont know what I was thinking.
The indicas took it okay, but the sativas all got sick from it. Sativas really have a little tolerance zone it seems.
Dubi already gave tips for a soil mix so very excited to try this next time. :)

Good luck bro you’ll get the hang of it... any doubt and you can just come back to icmag :dance013: there’s a lot of good people here that will help you get rolling and soon you’ll be drowning in weed:biggrin:.. Dubi is definitely one of those people I also encourage you to check out the organic soil section in your spare time...

Super Malawi Haze at Harvest 13.5 weeks

Super Malawi Haze at Harvest 13.5 weeks

The only plant in the tent to finish in beauty. Fungus gnats LOVED her roots compared to any other, she didn't stretch but a tiny bit and had an incredibly nice Bud/leaf ratio. I'm hugely pissed I had a hard time getting her in focus, but I got a couple of nice harvest shots.
Knowing me, smoke report within ten days;)

Maybe it’s because I’m just finishing a 12 hour work day, but I’m a bit confused, what’s the difference then between the Killer A5 Haze and this Super Malawi Haze?
