2001 is one of the greatest films of any kind of all time. Pure ART. A little bit boring for those who are accustomed to the split second editing that is common place today. Really needs to be seen on as large a screen as possible for the best effect.

i always forget the name of that REALLY sick one, where aliens have a city on the underside of their vessel, and implant new memories to folks every night, and the one dude can't be brainfucked, arrrrgh... might be dark city or sopn similar

Dune all time fav.. Blade Runner just about any sifi movie even alot of the old B type..

I've read that when 2001 came out, I think in 1969, it was quite the thing to go see it while tripping. We decided to try it in the 1980s..darn if they weren't onto something.
