Only time will tell what will come out of this.
I would like it to be kind and refreshing.
I have a feeling that they could go well together.
Lebanese is very smooth, not overwhelming it reminds me of my first experience with cannabis. Some blonde hash.
I enjoyed it very much about 20 years ago.
And many people who finished growing the Manipuri find it to be a good day time smoke to say the least.
Many have high praises for this cultivar.
People who like NLD's.
I dont have much experience.
I am just curious about the outcome.
But basically i would also like to have access to manipuri genetics that dont need ten weeks to show sex.
ACE's Lebanese is very early flowering. And has a charming personality.
Feeling lucky to have gotten that far actually.

For sure!! Sounds like a heady cross.
When you do find the phenotype that your searching for, an early flowering euphoric, smooth offspring of the 2 parents. Are your plans to clones that plant and keep it that way or are you going to further stablilize this phenotype by crossing it back onto itself?
Just curious hehe I've always gone from clone, but starting to think I could save alot of space if I just kept a stabililized version in fem seed.

Stabilizing is not an easy thing to do.
Not even in feminized form.
Making S1s of a plant will only produce similar offspring if the plant is very stable.
It always depends on how much genetic variation exists in a line.
I dont plan to keep anything in clone form.
I dont have the extra time to take care of that.
I will try to flower one seed at a time, veg for a bit, cut a clone to reverse with sts for as much pollen as possible.
then make S1s as well as keep the remaining pollen labeled and frozen for making further female generations. Maybe up to S4 or S5? I dont know.
Just in case i find something exceptional.
It could be tricky.
I try not to fantasize too much lol.
Inbreeding is supposed to work faster when working with female pollen.
For now i will focus on harvesting the seeds.
Looks like i have at least one female seed per plant. I marked them so i can keep an eye out for them when they finish.
The rest will be all regular seeds. Probably for longer term storage. F1s so to speak.

Also when you work with female pollen you open the door for recessive traits to come out and play.
Could be extra fun or extra tricky.
On another note,
is anyone else experiencing strange word scramble ups when typing a reply from a phone on the new forums?
For example when i wrote forums i had to re type it cause it changed to 'fs'....

Time for a little update.
The Manipuris are doing their thing.
Bracts are swelling with achenes/seeds.
New stigmas/pistils are coming up and you could probably say that bud sites are starting to build up.
looking pretty wild despite the size.

Very strange development on the scents.
Stem rub is still the same but kinda muted.
But the overall scent when handling the plants is like biting into a green unripe apple, no sweetness, green sour earthy.
Also when touching the almost fully seeded budlets it smells like generic hemp on a field.

Could it be because theyre so heavily pollenated?
Theyre probably really unhappy with their current root situation aswell...

#2 the trifoliate popped a couple of male flowers and even dropped some pollen.
it was only on 2 flowering sites so i removed them for now and cleaned up the mess.
she seemed the most unhappy of the two so i'm not really surprised.
also considering the genetics and growing environment it was only a matter of time i suppose.
the other one looks happy, so far no signs of heavy stress or intersex expressions.
I will give both a rootspace upgrade and fill their reservoirs with soil.
if #2 continues with the intersex expressions i will remove it and leave all the space for #3.
not sure what to do with the ripening seeds of #2 yet...

But only after touching them.
Some of the first seeds are starting to get brown.
The trifoliate has faster seed development.
Although most of them are still green they look like they might fall out of the bracts already.
No signs of other male flowers emerging.
They seem to feel good about the extra rootspace considering how fast they did push out new roots.
I'm really stoked, and feel blessed that i can run these genetics in my small set up.
