Hardware and startup costs to read EC of each nutrient?

I know you can determine how much of each element is in a solution, but our standard equipment just reads the entire EC of the solution. This seems like the ultimate runoff analysis to properly adjust your solution in a recirculating system and to be as efficient as possible. I believe what you've heard commercial growers talk about doing this. without knowing what the 100ppm's was that your solution dropped your still kinda in the dark about the proper ratio your plants need. the goal would logically be to get the ratio of each nutrient and the amount of water to match in a way that when 5 gal of water has been consumed by the plants so has the nutrients in a way that the ec doesn't drop from too little food or raise from too much food (per water consumption).

so what's the name of the piece(s) of equipment you would use to analyze what nutrients are in a solution and what strength? is the technology just not to the point of a cost-effective instant-read handheld device or are they just 10k?
