polishing extract graywolf style. Hexane vs Iso

Graywolf has a method on skunk pharm where he uses hexane to suspend the oil and then adds water, shakes it and lets it sit to stratify into layers in a separatory funnel or a ziplock. I don't have any hexane, it's not available locally and it's way more expensive than 91% iso. Can I just use Iso and/or Iso and salt and do the same thing he did with Hexane?

No,you can not.
He is using the concept of working w/ 2 solvents, one polar and one non polar.
You can get nice extract with iso alone by reducing the temps and exposure times.
15 seconds works fine for me. A magnifying glass is your pal.
