The little sprout that maybe could

Fuck knows I've underfed this one :dunno:

That's her next to some of my other plants, a lemon og kush, a kosher tangie and a critical cheese. Same soil, same nutes but this plant is clearly on another level. I think next time I won't back off until they get the serious claw.

Well here she is coming up on 5 weeks

She's stretched a lot in the last week and now has more of an AK appearance than before. Looks like she'll be be one stick of little buds.

Just passed 6 weeks and the buds are starting to join up. She's got an interesting way of budding up (I may also be a bit high) so I've got a close up of the top cola to show what I mean.

She's starting to smell like sour sweets, I'm looking forward to this :tiphat:

She's actually looking better and fatter in the photos than real life. Got a few hairs turning brown now too. I'm guessing she'll be at least a 9 week strain, maybe even 10. Can't wait to get her smoked - I'm running low and my only trusted connection has dropped off the map. Ah well, a break is good for the mind and lungs anyway.

If the soil is balanced then that is nitrogen burn, so it's probably intolerant. When starved they will drop leaves, when burned they tend to hold on to them much longer in comparison. Curious little seedling you have in any case.

A lot of leaves have dropped, at least a few sets earlier on in flower. The reason she's still got a few fans is I massively upped the nutrient dose.

I think the soil is definitely light, this plant suffered bad but almost all my plants have yellowed to some extent although I'm controlling it with nutes I think. Really need to get better at this feeding thing :dunno:

Thanks for the help :tiphat:

Coming up on 9 weeks tomorrow and she's still quite far from being done. I'm guessing another two still as I feel it'll be one for the pistils to turn and another to swell. I've taken two small buds to test her out - I'm hoping for a proper relaxing stone with this stuff. The bud structure so far is pretty loose and highly resinous so I'm expecting the other beans to be a good hash making strain. Might do some dry sift with a run of those sometime and make some nice black Afghani.

Here she is at 69 days. She's very close to done but there's a few clear trichomes yet so I'm holding off and waiting for those to turn. She'll likely come down later this week, perhaps even as early as tomorrow depending on my patience - I very nearly chopped her just now.

And a few lower close ups for fun

Very interesting and complex smell, sweet and fruity at first then menthol lingers on the fingers. Should be nice.

Well, I said she'd get the ol' choppy chop this week and she has. Felt like holding on til Thursday but that was just an arbitrary point and she's got mostly cloudy trichomes so I feel she's done.

Here's a few shots just before death

And some root porn for the deviants out there

A good root mass clearly. Bit sad that I didn't take advantage of that and give her what she needed in terms of nutrients and thus extract more yield. But it is what it is and I'll smoke up a quarter the same way I'd smoke up an ounce.

I'll report back in a week or so with a smoke report for anyone that might be interested, although it's also useful for my breeding projects to have this info up somewhere even if no one else is reading.

A Christmas miracle! I’m just throwing my two cents in about the yellowing leaves. I read you took off a couple bottom fans. I highly recommend leaving those precious leaves on. We want all the sugar rising to top! If those leaves are taken off too early (before they’ve fallen off on their own) the sugar will drop to help mend its long gone branch, taking away opportunities of new growth! I hope this is helpful to you!!

Thanks for the help dude :)I normally don't take any leaves off myself, but these were so nitrogen deficient they were basically falling off on their own.
It sucks and the whole grow was kind of a bust due to the poor feeding but I live and hopefully learn.

Well, she's in the jar with a whopping 4.59 gram yield. Very very airy but also very resinous. I'm seeing a lot of the world of seeds AK in there, very landrace like, kind of wild. As I mentioned before, looks like it would be a good hash making strain for dry sift - nice open structure with plenty of surface area to it and a good coating of resin.

And one from another angle

picture.php

Smells very citrus, predominately lime - very nice. The taste carries through well on the dry toke and well enough on the smoke that I notice it in the odd puff which is unusual for me.

The high is quite physical, very relaxing, with a bit of head to it. I can do things but I don't necessarily want to  and when you sit down after doing something you get a tight banding to the head. A good variety of anti anxiety meds. It's ok, not the best but hey, it was a random bean in a bag of soil :dunno:

I'll update if it gets better or changes in any way over time. I'd say it'll be worth a full ten being popped at some point to see if I can get something with a tighter structure and better high out of the cross.
