I went to tractor supply couple days ago to pick up bird food and they have all the chicks and even a little ducklings out there ready for sale. They’re so cute I wanted some, but I know that my dog will not tolerate it….

Hey @bugman52 it's been a minute :)
Sorry to hear that the heat is causing you so much garden misery.
Heat + humidity UGH! I hope you don't loose all your moms.

I was going through my seeds in preparation for the 1st. 'winter' run 2023.
Decided upon your C99 BX2 F2's. Dang, I hadn't realized how many
beans have accumulated through the years haha.
Made deciding kinda difficult with so many choices (NOT complaining!) lol.
Went with the C99 as she has always been a fan favorite 'round here.

Here's hoping the heat will break soon and your current garden woes
will soon be in the past :plant grow::canabis:

I am so happy that I decided to grow my own herb. After we attained medical cannabis and I, my medical card, I was still so worried. I live right downtown in a moderately large city AND since I was introduced to weed at 15yoa... we were taught to not advertise etc... etc.
The smell especially had me worried and outside of the summer heat, is the reason I only flower in the Winter months.

Now with the the good voters approval, we have quasi legal "recreational' (what ever that is haha) on the books. Took many years to feel even remotely comfortable growing in an apartment w/ in a densely populated city.
Rec weed did help the comfort level for sure but I am still uber cautious.

Similar to your environment, it is too hot/ humid here in summer so I hold my moms
over the season and typically begin flowering right around Nov. 1st.
I harvest 2x's over the Winter then shut er down again.
This has become a very workable schedule that took several years to refine.

I've been running the same 2 strains now for 3 years and is why I decided to start some seeds and add a little variety in the jars. Also... perhaps to add back a little bit of a
challenge as I now well know the GG4 and Mango and am ready to stir things up a bit haha.

Early on in my endeavors to grow my own, I heard that the only way to keep a strain
is to share it. I believe in the concept and continue to share the love freely. That IMO
is how we 'network' and build a strong giving/ thriving community of like minded folks.
In doing so... if we do loose our mother plants... there will be someone that is willing
to help us to rebuild our gardens. It is such a beautiful balance :)

The C99 bx1 F2 beans are 6 for 10 above ground now. I think that is a pretty
good ratio for old beans that (on my end) were not always stored in the most
optimum conditions during the time they have been in my 'vault'.
Sigh... live and learn.

Also started some even older Mota Rebel seeds at the same time as your C99bx1f2
seeds and the ratio is the same. Should be interesting to see how both strains
perform moving forward. I am excited to have some new genetics explore.
Just hoping for at least one lovely lady of each to make her entrance the party 🤞

OH...
an additional note on being so glad be growing my own herb and to actually have
some jars stored is...
recently the neighbor asked if I could run him over to one of the dispensaries.
I've not set foot in one since the summer of 2016 and was quite curious as to the
current operations.
OMFG!!! I am soooo very, very, very happy that I am capable and willing to grow
my own and am not reliant upon the weed stores.
He paid $44 for a half zip if that tells ya anything.
Yep, also very glad to know growers too, as they will either keep me in genetics or
stellar 'home grown' herb in the event of a change in my growing/ life circumstances.

Good to see ya. Keep it green brother.
