copper pipe and plants

So i know copper deters roots but can i use copper pipe for a scr0gg screen??
I got 10 meta of it and am lookin for some steel poles for my screen



Wondering if copper has any ill effects on planys leaves as i know it does have an effect as a suppliment or in irrigation lines...




But on the cage around the plant i seen copper rose supports etc so thinking it may be fine ??


Or should i paint them

It will be fine as long as the copper doesn't go into the soil.

Got slugs? Slugs and snails can't cross copper. Just make sure no leaves hang down where they can find them.
