I just switched to coco (botanicare ready grow aeration) and athena salts from organics alive in 2 of my rooms the last feed was
ec 1.9

The medium ph is 5.8 - 6.0 tested with a bluelab soil ph meter

I'm seeing crazy new growth twisted and curled leaves anybody have an idea as to what it could be ?

Hi Jbay, I'm not sure that the pH of the medium is important in coco. I test the EC of the run off to determine if there is salt build up in the coco. If the EC of the runoff is above .6 (300 ppm) greater than the input I flush the coco to remove the built up salts. I shoot for 10% runoff. :tiphat:

I had a large plant do that in the center of the plant, some said russet mites but I didn’t see any bugs. The buds never formed.

Russets are extremely tiny and require a scope to spot before total infestation occurs. That picture does not look like it has rm damage to me though.

Whenever I had weird twisted growth it has usually been due to root issues. Either pH, roots cooking in the sun, overwatering...

One of my other plants sort of did it as well, I’ve already taken it out and didn’t take a pic...
