You sound like a buddy of mine.

"Hey come with me to the casino. I always walk away with 2500!"
"Uh... I'll pass."

One day he started loosing and was using his government credit card to recover. He's was a 40 year old and had to go to his mom for help. lol. She had to remortgage her house to save his ass or he was going to jail. Personally, I would have let the idiot spend time in the sin bin.
That guy was gambling. I do that as little as possible when playing poker, since it's a rather large risk.

Huge difference between "playing in the black" and "gambling." Since the invention of computers, the odds for poker hands have been discovered through analyzing hundreds of millions of hands. There are no surprises, the odds are very consistent. When you bet and play according to these numbers, your win rate stays at 52% or higher. That's playing in the black. Even when figuring in variance, you will end up with a profit over the long run.

When you are unable to control yourself, do not know your opponents well enough, or do not know the hand odds well enough, you are gambling and are at risk.

Two completely different worlds. :)

I have also noticed that the most important part of poker is how you can control your emotions. With just one smile you will make everyone understand that you have good cards. A lot of people think that the most important part of poker is to have good skills, but for me, it's important to know how to keep yourself in your hands and play smart. I don't play poker often I prefer more bets because there you can fully base only on your skills, and you can't win a bet by the simple way that you have got excellent cards. I started recently to play on Thailand bets sites like xxxxxxxxxx. It's more interesting to play there because there bets make only smart people that calculate everything before going to such a risk.

I want to start playing poker with real money too, I've been playing it since I was a kid, but I never considered playing it for real money because it is too risky. Now I have more money and can afford losing some haha.

That's how I play. I play for entertainment. Its like going to the cinema, it costs a certain amount for entertainment. The only gamble is how long the entertainment will be for.

Yeah, I feel you, do you have a calculated percentage from your budget that you reserve for gambling? I think that I could spend like 100 dollars per month on playing poker, sounds pretty reasonable to me. I have some friends that play poker for money online as well, and they spend something around that range too, also I asked them where they play it and everyone recommended using ###, I looked it up, and it seems like it is a very good platform. Which platforms do you recommend using for playing poker online? Also, this might sound like a strange question, but do you play it while you're high hahaha?

I use the biggest site in the world because I hate waiting around for tournaments to start. I do everything stoned. I don't have budgets as I never know what next months income will be.

Nothing wrong with a little online poker as I understand it. I haven't played since the old days of full tilt and pokerstars websites. Don't know who is running the show in modern times or what the most popular apps are today.

I would like to find an online miniature golf game - that is actually like playing miniature golf with relatives who live 8000 miles away.
