potassium silicate foliar

i see that many people here use potassium silicate. i was wondering how much one can get away with using as a foliar fertilizer? when i foliar calcium i usually do it at 400 ppm per gallon. can i apply potassium at a similar level?

If you are going to do it, use very little. Plants do not efficiently take it up, but they'll absorb some of it. I would use like a 1-5 ppm. The silicate that doesn't get absorbed will coat your plants and potassium silicate isn't very soluble so it wouldn't neccessarily simply wash off.
