Beware of Websites Using Google Tracking!
If you wish to keep your browsing history private, you may want to avoid any websites (esp. seed banks) that use Google tracking or Facebook.
You put yourself at risk by visiting these sites because Google records your IP# and every page you visit on that site. And as we know Google is heavily funded by the NSA and has backdoors into their data. The DEA would also have such access.
In addition, Facebook code on a website allows Facebook to track you, especially if you have a Facebook account. Your activities on cannabis sites can then be tied into your Facebook account. Both Facebook and Google may put cookies on your computer without your knowledge. Considering you haven't visited either site, it's an invasion of privacy.
Here at ICMag, Seedbay and Seedboutique we care about your security and purposely don't link to such sites as Google and Facebook because we know they will record your "metadata" at the very least. The reason sites link to them is only to increase their traffic (and revenue) while denying you the security that is your right.
To check to see if a site has Google tracking on it (it's not always obvious), just view the source code of the page (how to do that varies according to browser). Then search for "google analytics". If you see it, you're being tracked!
We know that many of our visitors go to other sites, so this is just a friendly warning to those who don't know about them.
We also recommend you never buy anything from a relatively NEW website or one that is run by someone who doesn't even use cannabis, isn't really part or the cannabis community and is just in it for the money. You may be sorry you did...
Here's a sample of the code used by such websites. If you see such code, you are being tracked, and the website cares nothing about your security.
<!-- BEGIN GOOGLE ANALYTICS CODEs -->
<!-- END GOOGLE ANALYTICS CODE -->
