Well I didnt really want to but the biggest plant has been a training tester. I’ve tried a lot of techniques on it and it really side branches well and responds to the training positively.

It was getting close to the light and blocking the other plants a bit so I super cropped it. I’ve never tried that in week 3 we will see how that goes. After 48h every branch is recovering and pointing to the light. I was mean too... there were several stems than vertically split and they really don’t seem to give two shits.

The amount of budsites on one plant is nuts. If every top dries to .5g I’m happy lol.

This is my first ‘real’ grow. I’ve grown cfl, t5 and outdoor. But a 600w RDWC is a whole different ball game. The speed is amazing but more challenging to stay on top of. I have found my biggest challenge is air/ventilation. Designing to system and putting it together was also challenging and expensive.

Maybe next round I will re do the bucket setup. Right now I have feed lines making a waterfall in each bucket with 1” Returns. After using the system and really getting to know dwc I see now it would be better to reverse the flow in the system. Ditch the feed lines and have the system recirculated backwards creating 1 large waterfall in the main res. It would really clean up the plumbing design. I’m also thinking of ditching the tent next round as I have effectively light proofed the room and the tent is open all the time.

I would rather grow 2 27g bucket on each wall with 1 600w each. This way I could walk amongst the plants in the middle of the room and make maintence easier. Bigger plants in a bigger room but still staying at our opprrsssive 4 plant limit. Having grown coco and promix I’m used to moving plants around and being able to inspect everything; I miss that.

Anyways I think we’re around day 23, I haven’t checked in a while. Everything is going pretty good. Knock on wood!

Uh oh. Checked ph today and it had dropped to 5.1-5.2. I checked for root rot. No smell pearly white. Ppm is static at 450 .5 scale. I didn’t check on my room for 24 hours. I’m wondering if I have an airflow exchange issue. Maybe introducing too much co2 into the Rez. I have a hard time believing that opening the door twice a day was exchanging my air. I have a 315cfm 6” fab exhausting the room. I have two 6” passive intakes but I have a fish carbon filter sponge thing in each one to help block light hair and bugs.

If I hold a lighter up to them it’s moving lots of air. Maybe the screens are too much restriction.

Anyway I’m going to grab some more r/o and do a Rez change in the next 24 hours. See how that goes.

Even though the plants are roughly the same size now, # 2 is 1.5 weeks older than the rest. It shows, it’s got buds everywhere. The other lady’s are just starting to form clusters. Checked the room this morning for light leaks and I had the ever faintest glow coming from a fan that had tape on it. One more layer of tape and tens mins later and I was tripping over everything trying to find my way out. It’s fucking dark haha.

Day 30 something or other. Slowly bumping my ppm to 600. I’m disappointed with my bud size. I’m thinking they weren’t mature enough for flower as I ended up with few alternating nodes. Hopefully the next run of clones goes better. I also want to get a chiller so I can raise my rooms temps a bit. Currently staying at 70-73 which results in a res temp of 67.

these r looking great. Isn't it amazing how big plants grow in hydroponics. The few times Iv done hydro they grew big for the size of container they were grown in.

The veg growth is nuts. So far my buds seem a little small. I picked up some liquid kool bloom that I’m going to carefully add. Anybody have any input for how many ppm of kool bloom to add?

I was planning on cutting my base from 500 to 400 and adding 100 of kool bloom. I think I could push the ppm to 600 though so I might add 50ppm at a time to my 500ppm base.

Snagged some before lights on pics. I think it is day 35. But I didn’t get preflowers till around days 10-14 or so.

Added 50ppm of kool bloom to my 500ppm maxi mix because why not. Ph is 5.8.

The pheno on the back left is really putting it on I grabbed a clone from a lower branch today as an extra. It’s already getting a very poddy skywalker bud structure.

The front left is looking dank and smells like rotten fruit. Front right is starting to come around and looks to be a big yielder. It’s fussy about nutes though. Lots of resin but not much smell yet. Back right is kinda in between the rest. We shall see.

Very nice healthy garden you got, not a bad strain either!

Not sure if you figured it out yet — before uploading pics edit them & slightly change the size, it’ll fix the sideways picture problem!

Day 39 I believe. I’m having problems with one plant. It’s getting too close to the light. It’s blesching the one cola and surrounding canopy but I’m out of head room. Of course it’s the one that just wants to chunk out. Tested with an infrared thermoter it’s only 78-80 on that particular bud.

It’s getting really, really tempting to cut these down. They’re really putting on weight now. The plan is to go 70 days plus
with a 2 or 3 day flush.
