Found out yesterday that I have a testicular cyst

Went to the doctor yesterday because I was having some pain in one of my testicles. I could feel a lump and in general wasnt feeling "right". For some backround: I was born with an assended testicle (right side) this is on my good nut (left side). The more I read the more scared I get. Anyone out there have any experience with such a thing? I havent had the ultrasound yet and we havent even talked about biopsy yet...but everything I read says pain=not good.

hey justice,,
i have had 2 cysts removed from my balls over the last 10 years or so,,,,,
try not to panic,,it might only be a poylop/cyst unless you have been led to believe otherwise by your doctor,,,,
my last one was 6 years ago,,,i went to local hospital and had a small op under general anthestetic,,so was admitted around 7am and left around 3pm after the op....
my first one was around 10 years ago and same precedure,,,
when you go for scan,,they can tell almost immedialtly whether its just a cyst or something more untoward,,,,
my wifes a specialist nurse of many years and insisted it was nothing to worry about and i had the last little op done in her hospital,,
very best of luck and the op is painless and nothing at all to worry about,,,,,
good luck,,,,,,s2:tiphat:

Thanks for all the positivity. I really do appreciate it. Never had a serious medical problem in my adult life...just kinda freakin out here cause I gotta stay strong for the fam...and well you know, dont want them to worry too much. The only wrinkle is that I smoke and there is a serious connection between this and lung cancer...have a pretty serious cough right now...hope its just all coincidental.

try to stay away from looking up your symptoms on the internet, you will freak yourself out for no reason.

I have many times.

I've been having some pain (or maybe discomfort is the better word) as well. I have no idea what it is. To be honest it almost is difficult to locate the source, and I've had it for months now. One day I think it's a hernia another it's torsion or something in the vas diferens. The internet doesn't help the mind. I had a doctor feel around twice with nothing noticeable like a cyst. One problem is, it's a sensitive area and somewhat lumpy, so I can see something getting overlooked, or misdiagnosed. I haven't had an untrasound either. But I'm really thinking about it. How would you describe your pain?

Had my ultrasound yesterday but the friggin tech wouldnt tell me anything. She spent a lot of time on my right nut...like double the amount of time she spent on the left. Kept zooming in and taking pics of stuff. Shit im not a doctor so i dont know what i was looking at but that sure seemed odd. All she would say was "try not to worry". Ummm ok.
DTMW, my pain is like after you get hit in the nuts and you have that dull ache. I can feel it in my testicle but also in my abdomen...kinda makes you sick to your stomach. When its strong (sorta comes and goes) its enough to make me not want to eat.

Not that there isnt something but you're worrying yourself sick. You're a tough dude, If they have to take your testicle its not the end of the world. and its relatively without tons of Pain like a knee replacement or a major invasive cancer surgery. So just like everyone's saying do your very best not to worry. Stress can account for most of your systems, minus the testicle symptoms.;
