Best way to press your Bubble

What is the best way to press your bubble. I read a thread by BOG saying the more times you press it the better it gets and I think he had his in the freezer. Is there a difference in the way you would press it if its full melt and if its not?

I am new to bubblebags so Im trying to figure it all out. Usually I make bubble out of frozen dried trim and the result is mostly green, I think it breaks down a lot during the mixing.

I personally wouldn't bother pressing bubble. I find it's much nicer to smoke in powder form, easier to get the right size hit.

but if you want to press it anyway...
1st make sure it is COMPLETELY DRY
wet pressed hash will rot from the inside out.

the fastest/easiest way to press bubble is sole hash. place your bubble(works best if powdered to even consistency) in a cellophane envelope, or even a baggy will do. fold up your baggie, and place under the insole of your shoe, put on your shoe and go for a walk etc.

try making your bubble from fresh frozen trim.
also how long are you mixing and with what size bags?

I typically use dry frozen trim and I mix for 15 minutes and then let it set for 45 minutes in the one gallon 7 bag kit.

Is there another method to get less contaminant or is this just how it is with dried trim?

I dont press my bubble . I just roll it with a rolling pin in a piece of 25 u between paper towels to get the water out. After that it is normally so gooey if i touch it it will just stick to my hands so i use a needle to pull pieces off to put on the pipe and watch melt If you freeze it real good the excess water will come to the surface where it can be wiped off. When im not using i keep in the freezer .

Pressing doesn't make hash better and in fact Trichome farmer is correct as most hash lovers who make bubblehash prefer it unpressed more of the time. He is also correct to emphasize the risk of mold when drying and storing hash. We make it into a crumbled spread out pile to dry until completely dry before freeziing or pressing. You could freeze it wet but I see no reason to do this. It's easiest to dry unpressed for certain but if pressed thin and dried long enough it would be ok Babba. Many hashmakers dont recognize the mold in their pressed hash because if not drying completely. There need be no moldy buds to cause this as spores are always present and hash molds when wet sure as shit.

I dont usually keep anything much less than full melt but the 120 grade is often just somewhat bubbly and with that I rarely press. However the 73 or 45 if made from high grade can be full melt either pressed or unpressed. Pressed hash stays fresher when exposed to air or in your pocket and it can be hidden in the mouth like a piece of gum. Pressed hash is fun to show off too. People like to feel how soft it presses when hand warmed so do press some cause its easy.

Just place about a gram of the dried hash in your palm and start warming it by gently pressing your thumb into it. As it warms up you will see that it begins to stick together but start pressing it very hard with your fingertips at first then by doubling it over in your palm and then pressing again with the thumb. 5-10 minutes of this will produce a smooth round ball of hash you might like to play marbles with. For the most part however pressing does nothing and many feel it doesnt burn as fast making it harder to take one huge hit. The powder can be mind altering in one big bong for sure but dry and powderey is the best hit. BOG

growit1234 - if your hash is green then you are probably mixing too long- breaking down the veg matter and allowing it to pass through the screen

less mixing will give you less hash - but of a better quality - you could always extract twice - once with a short gentle mix to extract the top quality - and then a second longer mix to give you your green hash - and the quantity you ususly get

Powdering it can be a real pita but is the way i prefer to smoke it. I always seem to loose more than id' like to the grinding process, but again it's best to grind it well before you press it into pieces anyway. My thoughts

ESCD hash should be a really special hash.

Sometimes when drying hash people press it really hard to squeeze all the water out but in fact that just makes it harder to get back to powder form to dry. Some people just let the hash dry in the bags but that seems messy and I generally have a couple runs to do. BOG

About the green hash some of you guys are getting ...
What i do is run cold water from the tap thru the last bag .
This always gets the green tint from the water out and leaves me with nice blond powder .. then i run it thru the 2 smallest kitchen strainers i can buy ... hehehe

Trichomefarmer and BushyOldGrowre, thanks for your posts confirming what I've been doing of late. It just seems logical that, except for special occasions, you'd want the hash in a rough powder. Bubbleman reported that that's how he does his hash for storage, and many others have too that I've read on OG and other places. I also find it the best way to store, as it's the best way to smoke it.

if you have enough dry bubble (powerder) what i do is grab my fav movie and my laZboy chair and pack a (sandwitch)Baggie with my kiff(around 10-20g) and twist it into 1 of the corners of the baggie(but not to tight) and sit on it and hit play after 1hour of sitting on it enough heat biulds up to give me a nice ball to start molding into what every shape i want ..
