looking to get a couple halides for veg, Ushio's opti-blue has my attention and Sunmaster Full Nova Metal Halide Bulb1000W.
the full nova claims to be a balanced full spectrum but it's rated
6,oooK, when i hear full spec.
4,000K seems to be a better representation.
the ushio has a higher lumen output
and the sunmaster has better PAR/umol

anyone using any of these bulbs, opinions

Ive used the opti blue and the hortilux blue, which is pretty much the same spectrum as the full nova. They both do fine. I think I liked the blue better. quite honestly I always got bushier, bigger plants vegging under hps.. did a side by side even, the hps plants were nicer
