if memory serves, back in the 70's the sativa bag seed i would grow out didn't show any red or purple on the stems
was always green
so does the green color match up to sativas?
i did search for this topic, didn't see much
thanks for the posts, they do give some thoughts on just what a 'sativa' is
which can be not so straight forward
the nepal jam which has nepal genetics, that's kind of fuzzy to me where nepalese falls in the indica/sativa bins
the cocoa kush has afghani in its ancestry, at least according to the ********** site
could be, but from a good number of mexican bag seed grows
i only saw green stems, which may mean little
i do recall the zacatecas purple, which was mexican, but never had the fortune to find it in the 'wild' at that time
In my opinion - if your plant is thriving and has color - its a strain thing. If your plant is slow or struggling a bit and has color - its your fault ;P Of course all plants are different, it has worked out well for me.
