I'm a thin crust lover
Ms Hazard gets a big cracker thing at the mideast market we load it up with artichokes and stinky cheese heat in oven it's still crunchy goes well with Elmer T Lee and a splash of branch water.
Anybody seen the series Bong Appitit on weed with food?
Rodehazrd
God afternoon Rodehazrd.
That pizza sounds great. I'm guessing Elmer T Lee is a whiskey or bourbon but what is branch water? I don't have cable but have seen a couple episodes of bong appetite over the web. They get a little carried away sometimes but have some great ideas. I'm defenatly going to make some cannabis ice cream once summer is here. I have a nice cream making attachment for the kitchen aid mixer and have yet to try it out. I'm also interested in the cannabis gummy bears. I like a nice edible buzz but have to be carful not to get carried away, too much makes me paranoid.

Ok guys in Bourbon country there's the holy trinity pappy VanWinkle, Elmer T Lee, and Jimmy Russell. Pappy has been Late for years but his barrels are still around people enter lottery for a chance to by a pappy.
Elmer passed several years back his work is more likely found behind the counter and price is negotiated, 50$ and up 500 for derby. Russels Reserve widely available Jimmy still lives.
A river is fed by a creek the creek by a branch and a branch runs from the spring hence branchwater. Sorry to get colloquial.

Good morning pop_rocks.
I'm really looking forward to some relaxation after a long week at work. We've had a couple people out this week and I've had to do their jobs for them. Just a few more hours of work today and then some ice riding this afternoon. A buddy just bought a nice bike last week and we have to take it out and see how well it performs.
I went to costco last night and picked up a nice rib roast for Sunday. I'm going to cook it on the wood fired kamado nice and low then crank the heat up at the end to get a crust on it. Now I just have to plan some snacks and sides.
I hope you are having a good weekend. Looking forward to some football tomorrow and a day of rest. Enjoy the game and some great food...Fiddy.

Thanks for the history lesson on bourbon. I've never had a nice bourbon but I've been tempted to try one sometime. I just never knew what to get. It sounds like people take it pretty seriously around your parts.
Have you ever made any liqueur? That is something I want to try some day. My uncle has a copper worm that he can loan me. He use to home brew beer and used it to run beer through in a cooler full of ice to cool it. I'm thinking I could hook it to a pressure cooker and have a little stove top still. Just something else on the bucket list.
I hope your weekend is going well. Enjoy the game tomorrow and have a bourbon and h2o for me...Fiddy.

Update and pics

Just a couple pics to show how the plants are progressing. They are starting to grow quicker. They are drinking more water this week. I'll probably transplant next week sometime. I'm looking forward to that since watering these little pots with 1/4 cup at a time is tedious.

morning fellas!

we made it to the weekend
hope you have a great ride man
the trails are finally starting to dry out around here but there is a lot going on so we probally wont have time to ride this weekend

what is ice riding?
like where they ride on frozen ponds and lakes?
a new bike is the best reason to get out and ride and i hope this one is a beauty

those are some nice looking young plants
you can see the indica expression in the leaves
i like fat leaves, nice and broad

be careful if you ever decide to try your hand at home made distilation
beer and wine are easy and fun to make but home made liquor is something else
/cant you go blind from poorly made booze?
read up and be cautious buddy, but if anyone can do it its you

speaking of liquor, i gave a friend of mrs chicky about 16g of larf last night
he is going to take it and infuse tequilla with it
he said that would be enough to make two bottles, one for him and one for us
personally, i would just as soon turn all the stuff i dont smoke into hash, but chicky seemed to think this would be fun
he gave us some over the holidays last year but i was kind of on the fence about it
by the time you imbide enough to get the stoney buzz going, you have also drank a bunch of tequilla
either way its nbd to me and as long as it keeps the mrs happy, its a half well spent

hope everyone is having a great weekend
enjoy the game

Take our bourbon seriously is an understatement. We talk bourbon like some do fine wine. Next time you're out call for a Four Roses Small Batch. It's a blended brown water delight in the middle of the spectrum If you like spicy Wild Turkey light go with Woodford Reserve.
If none of those do it you may just not like bourbon. I've heard of that but never met one.
Never made liqueurs my neighbor makes brandy but I never liked it. It is better than his sweet wine but still.....
I read up on that rocket strain I think I want some. Did you get yours local. I get mine attitude which h as always been good but no afterthought so far.

Good to see the update - nice pics. Don't we all wish we knew how to separate out the males early on. You'd be a billionaire if you can develop a test that shows sex while just sprouted. What an amazing feat that would be. Anyway, speaking about early sex identification - paging @Chimera. Don't know if you've popped into this thread, but I'm wondering if anybody is working on a test like that. You'd, of anybody, would have heard. Enquiring minds want to know.

Steep Hill labs can do just that! Here is the reference. Amazing times we live in.

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
Yes we finally made it. I've been busting ass all week and now it's time for some rest. Lots of people out sick and injured (snowcross racing accident) at work has me doing many jobs and not much time for me.

The ice riding went great until my 200 pound ass got on the thing and I blew out the new reat tube that I'd just installed yesterday. I was getting her leaned way over and starting to get some good speed going when the rear started moving around a lot. I guess I should have used a heavy duty tube. Ice riding/racing is where you take a moto bike and make it ice ready. We make the tires by putting screws with very sharp heads on. First we cut an old tire cut the side walls off of it. Then we put it inside of a knobby tire and run the screws through the knobby and into the inner tire. This makes for a very stiff tire and holds the screws in securely. Believe it or not a good ice tire gets better grip than a slick race tire on asphalt. Insane amounts of traction means you can really crank that bitch over in the corners. Then you just plow a nice track on the frozen lake and go for it. It's all good unless you find a thin spot and break through the ice. My buddy at work put one through the ice a few weeks ago and it sat for a day before we could hook it and drag it out. Lucky someone was there to help him out of the water and his bike was fine after drying it out and a few oil changes. Good times!

I was thinking the same thing about those fat leaves. That must be the wookie since I'm under the impression that the lemon diesel is more sativa. I could be wrong about that.

Yes I've heard that making liquor is kind of dangerous. The vapors are super flammable and lots of precautions have to be taken. I've also herd you can go blind from bad booze but if you pour off the first bit that comes out you are ok. Not sure if I'll ever do it but it might be fun. Maybe someday.

I've read about infusing booze with weed and want to try it sometime. Does your friend heat the buds first to decarboxylate it? I've herd you need to do this if you aren't heating it like with making brownies or other baked goods. At 8g per bottle you would have to drink a bunch of shots to get really high I'd think. Maybe use as an enhancer when eating other edibles if you want to get super high. Happy wife happy life as they say.

I hope your weekend is of to a good start and tomorrow's festivities go great....Fiddy.

Good afternoon Rodehazrd.
I've herd of the four roses before from a guy at work who likes a bourbon. I should be able to find it around here and I'm looking forward to trying it. It's been a long time since I've had a whiskey. I got pretty sick after pounding a bottle of early times when I was in my 20's and haven't experimented with it much since. I don't know about that brandy but sweet wine doesn't sound any good to me. I grew up in beer country but was exposed to wine when I moved out west. I developed a taste for bold dry red wines but can't stand the sweet stuff. Nothing like a dry red cab or zin with a nice steak.

I got my seeds straight from aridbud. He is the breeder and he is great to work with. Private message him and he will have you email for catalog. You can get his gear at GLG as well and a lot of other good stuff but I'd go straight through him. He will take good care of you. Nice guy and great customer service. The a-rockets are all kicking ass and looking great. Can't wait to smoke them:).

I hope your weekend is going well. You enjoy the game as well...Fiddy.

That's really cool they can test for sex in the DNA. And if they can test for a plants tendency to hermie that is almost even better. Waiting for males to show is one thing but having them hermie after a couple months of work really sucks. I hope they can figure that out because it would be sweet. Amazing times indeed. Thanks for the link...Fiddy.

Morning all from Bee-u-tea-full Lost Wages, errr, Las Vegas.

Scored some gummies from a green dragon tincture that worked pretty amazing but I ended up with an upset stomach. Only problem was it took a long ass time for them to kick in - like almost an hour.

The bud I got a hold of was Ketama Northern Moroccan 100% Indica. The bud was free since it still can't be sold for recreational purposes in Nevada, but I did make a nice contribution to his favorite cause at around $11/g. Buds were pre-gound (good in a way since i won't bring a grinder on a plane) but you couldn't really tell how good the tric coverage was as it wasn't in nugget form. Was told in was indoor hydro grown from Seattle.

Anyway, wasn't overly stinky - smelled a bit fuel but no real terpene profile - i mean none. The smoke was acrid at best and, well, bitter. Not in a bad way, but image like a tonic-water bitter. My guess, and its just a guess, is this was dried way to fast and may have been picked a bit early as its its a very army green color. Nothing bright or sexay about it. The buzz was there, but TBH I smoked more than I normally do so it was probably more towards that 10% thc rather than 15% like it can supposed get to, and overall nothing special that stood out. It did provide excellent pain relief in my legs as I had walked forever up and down the strip. Gotta give it a good 9 on the pain relief category. Anyway, walk-about here ain't nothing like walk-about in Florida. I hate walking on concrete when God created grassy fields and trails through trees, but i also realize that ain't gonna happen here.

Bottom line is that it worked as advertised, and I felt a lot better about getting it off of CL than trying to find some in other ways like we had to in the past.

Now for the game, wow - what a comeback. Crowd was HEAVILY into Atlanta. I ended up not making a play on the game or the side, but I should have, since everybody out here was on the under - casinos won huge.

Prop bets didn't to well this year. Food was a usual crappy but the social beverages were free flowing.

Well, gotta get packing for the flight back. take care gents.

Good to know about the radiators and lead. You defiantly have to watch what materials you use if making something for consuming.

Sounds like you had a good time in Vegas. I'm glad you found some buds that worked well for you. I'm with you on not liking to walk on concrete. I spend all day on my feet on a concrete floor at work and my feet are done by the end of the day. Too bad the betting didn't go your way but hopefully the entertainment made up for it.

What a game indeed. Tale of two teams and of two halves. I have to admit I was in a booze and food induced coma by the end of the game so it's a bit fogy for me. Many bowls with hash were smoked as well. As nice as football is there is going to be some nice parts about getting Sundays back to do other things. Also means spring is on the way.

That tequila looks potent. The green really comes through. Sounds like it was a good way to use up some larf. Sounds like the lady loved it and that's the important part.

Great news about the sliders. It's a little more work and takes a bit of planing but fresh ground is the way to go. Once you've done it a bunch of times it will go very quickly. Well worth the effort and you know exactly what is in there. Ribeye would make a wonderfully rich burger. I'm going to try ribeye or ny strip soon. But you don't have to use expensive cuts for it to be great. Using chuck and brisket makes a really nice juicy burger as well. Once you have done burgers a couple times maybe you could find some pork and a little pork belly and make a couple pounds of "loose" breakfast sausage patties, they freeze well. We will talk more about sausage later.

Sounds like you had a great weekend. I hope your week is off to a good start...Fiddy.

Update and pics

Good afternoon friends.
I didn't want to take any chances with letting the plants get root bound this grow so I transplanted the plants this morning. I mixed up a blend of happy frog and ocean forest soil yesterday and added another 20% perlite. This morning I transplanted all 8 lemon wookiees. It was getting really tedious watering the little 4" pots they started in every 1-1/2 - 2 days. They are now in 8' pots that hold about a gallon of soil each. I only had 7 of these pots so one had to go int a bigger 10" pot. A few were a little droopy right after transplant but I expect them to be fine. I am thinking they will take a couple days to adjust to their new pots and then we should see a nice growth spurt. The males should show in a couple weeks then into final pots with them and off to the flower tent.

Here they are right after transplant and watering in.

They are starting to get some more leaves and should take off soon...Fiddy.

yeah man, i was suprised at how it came out
like you said, its only about 8g a bottle but the way i figure it, its like a shot and a bong hit at once
mrs chicky def loved it, maybe a bit too much
her friend is totally down to make more

i will be making fresh ground beef again!

so if i got myself some pork loin and pork belly, would that make for good sausage?
what would you recomend as a seasoning?
i put this smoke house seasoning in with the slider meat and it really brought out the best in the bacon
i think you are right about using less expensive cuts
rib eye is best enjoyed on the grill
plus i can get another tri tip on the cheap and its not much more than the prepackaged ground beef they sell in the stores
thanks for all the help on this and i hope to one day make some stuffed sausages like the ones you ahev show in the past

those plants are looking great
good call on mixing the of and hf, that should not be too hot for the young plants
they look like they are jsut about through the seedling stage and should really take off any time now
