Cinderella 99 The Come Back

Yea, i have read Grimm released C99 "v2" already back then, but the first (original) C99 was made with a P88-male.

So, Princess x P88 male = P94 line = Original C99 seed line.
And the old second version of C99 was Princess x C99/P94 male
The new C99 has different C99/P94 male crossed to the Princess-clone.

Here's few photos of this new C99/P94 male and the notes that came with the photos. Originally posted on Bros Grimm' s Imgrum.net page.

"We grew dozens of C99 and had the great fortune to find this unique male...he's got the identical structure as Genius, the famous mother of our Apollo series. Therefore he's the father of Apollo 13 we'll be releasing this year."

"I've been breeding since 1980, but I've never seen a male like this, the father of Cinderella99... a huge plant with tight internodes, that grows like a shrub. His dense floral clusters mimic the shape of female colas. Smells like a ripe Honeydew melon too!"

Looks to be a nice yielder with a good resin production fore sure. But leaning abit to the NL5 - Shiva Skunk side.

There are few more photos of this male in their Imgrum. Close up photos of the flowers was one.

there is much more then just pineapple & grapefruit

there's mango & guava & other sweet melon's...it should be an exotic topical fruit profile with a rich butter-like fresh pastry hint ...yes...it should be seriously Trichomes & seriously crystalline

it should be DONE in 50 days...done done done in a "scant" 50 days

medium yielded... powerful psycho f*cking active high:dance013:

that no doubt is an awesome flower...but it does not appear to me to be the C99 i remember from 1999...IMHO it's not representative ...

these are pics of the my 1999 C99 ...AFAIK these are the only pics available anywhere ...it was among the best marijuana i've ever grown and smoked hands down

I also agree with that statement. My 2 flowering plants look totally different from each other I want to point out.

C99-1 Is the greener slower stickier female. Classic stickiness and now has extremely stinky fruit punch smell. Overall stretchier growth at on set of flower and light green foliage. This one looks most visually like the original C99 of the 2.

C99-2 Is the girl showing dark purple tips and definitely heavier growth. Resin is also dry to the touch but still very nice coverage. Also finishing out atleast a week ahead of the other. Smell is the same as the other very fruity although not quite as loud as the other.

The 2 untested girls are like 2 weeks away from bloom.

2 of my 5 males look a lot like that and 1 in particular is way more vigorous and branchy. Like a super xmas tree of sorts.

I was going to keep those 2 out of my initial f2 to keep them as close to original as possible. The other 3 males have different structure and much skinnier leaves at this point.

Also C99-2 is looking like it will be done by day 50 from the looks of it but I will still need to watch for milky trichomes. Nearly all of the hairs are light red/orange now and this girl is thick! Quite dense!

Having difficulty with the C99-1 cutting it was in the aerocloner a bit too long and is slow to recover in my small dwc array just hoping I wont have to reveg that girl after harvest....I hate reveg!

You can take a cutting of a flowering plant, no problem.

I just rooted a budding side shoot of a 9-week strain which i cut off at the end of 6th week in bloom.

It took 3 weeks to root, but my room temps are abit low, so this is prolly part of the reason it took so long to grow roots.

Shitty photo, and that cut doesn't look too good either, but it's growing roots. ...i took another cutting a week later, cause this one looked so bad, but it made it.

that's pretty normal for a late cut. they look like hell in a bucket but if they root you're fine. once they start rolling they'll branch like crazy and you can take a ton of cuts from them. think it's referred to as "monstercropping", due to the instant bush like structure you get. if you flower one of those out it looks like Lenny Kravitz' drummer with a green afro that turns into a bud bush from a 70's porno meets cheech and chong.

Yea, takes alot less space than a re-veging plant.

For me, this was more about the test to root a "bud", rather than saving this girl, thou the resin production on this one is pretty good and she seems fairly fast bloomer. One of my own crosses.

4,5 weeks in bloom was my last late-cutting i got to grow roots, but that wasn't budding nearly as much as the one in the pic.

Hopefully my cutting from veg will pull thru still has good green on top leaves....It is fully rooted just not banging away in the dwc just yet....I flushed with clearex the other day so hoping she will pull thru. I might snip a lower bud off to see if I can get it to root just for a try anyway!

Well Day 43 of 11/13 and I gotta give a round of applause to Mr Soul right now because both of my flowering girls are not only looking and smelling world class they are sticky icky and the smells on both are leaning towards ripe tropical fruity goodness in a MAJOR way! I am more than pleased with these 2 girls and the other 2 are yet to come!

The C99-1 is showing more bright orange hairs and looks to be beginning to bulk up right now. Probably 2 weeks on that girl would put her at 57 days albeit 11/13. Spicy Tropical Fruit Punch all the way! High resin production.

C99-2 is so close at this point I hope to bust out the loop tomorrow and check out the trichomes to see how they are coming along. The buds are dense! Fruity and starting to get sticky since last friday. A bit softer smell but still sweet and fruity punch leaning. Nice sized calyx's with high resin production. This girl is nearly done from the look and feel....90% hairs are red and the buds are hard when squeezed. Maybe a week on her.

C99-1 cutting was removed from the dwc as the roots are all brown now and I put her back in the aero cloner after removing the dead foliage. I also took a cutting off of the lower budding plant at 43 days bloom. Both are in the aerocloner with tap water and a bit of h202. Maybe the rooted cut will come back but if not I will wait on this bud cutting or just repot and reveg leaving a lot of lower growth on during harvest. That cutting is RANK in a Great way!

Cannot wait to pop a nug in the dehydrator next week for a WEEE taste of yester year!

Thanks Soul!

Use KLN and Pro Tekt in your aerocloner...I root buds sometime's since I'm real bad at taking clones of every plant a grow from seed...most of the times I pick the winners by the plants characteristics it reveals before flower...but some times I'm wrong. lol
