Here's the second F2 from the F1 mum 03, labeled F2 03 02:

This one pre-flowered, so confirmed female. I like her, many
favorable traits.

Still in veg.

Here is the bagseed mum of the F1's, whose grandkids are being shown in this thread:

She, like the other mums in this thread, were not trained prior to flip. A snap decision on
my part to push this project forward. Makes for inefficient plants, but also allows a glimpse
of the uninhibited growth patterns.

Just perhaps.

The male grandparent is in veg, as well as two new cuttings of the mum
taken before her flip.

The cuttings have taken, so I will move the first two F2's
to the flower box. Would be nice to have more room for
this project, but I'll make it work.

The four seedlings from 01 and 04 are doing well. Ambient
temps high 50's, low 60's. Feeding at 0.6 EC.

Yup.

Dave Collier did a side by side to show the difference in
feed rates on seedlings.

Feed them early, I was stunned at the results.

F2 03 01, which is F2 mum #3, seed # 1 was flipped a couple days
ago. Flower room is crowded, but I think the new Zamaldelica will
finish in a couple weeks.

That will allow the second plant to go into flower.

The Bagseed mum is still a player, done stretch and making
her flowers.

Plant in flower, F2 03 01, full blown intersex, pistols came first,
soon after balls showed up.

Discarded, no males allowed, so in goes F2 03 02.

Seedlings from the two other F1 females are soon to
take cuttings.

Original Bagseed female dropped Micro, she's in the chute now.

Too bad about the male. Hope F2 03 02 is fem!

Are the seedlings from the other two F1, the 01 and 04 seedlings?

Pics?

The F2 03 02 strongly preflowered, so I'm betting full on lady plant.

Got a cutting of her in the current yogurt demo.

The discarded hermie also preflowered, but only a couple hairs. So, in my
opinion, female preflowers don't always prove sex, but only the potential.

NYCD has hermie potential, so I look for it. Its the reason I stopped giving
out seeds to other growers from this project. But I can continue this cross
for myself because I know what to expect.

I've been assured that no crosses of mine survive outside my own grow box.

The next seedlings are from the F1 #01 and #04. Cold ambient, so slow growth.
Other than the cold, all the plants are doing well.

Got a short and a tall plant from each of the F1 phenos, this is my
first grow with known F2's. I expect variation, and so far there
has been plenty.

But I will postpone any additional seed germination after last frost.

Pics in a couple days.

Bagseed mum, soon to chop.

Yield won't be great as the plant was not trained for flower, but the buds
I get will be super nice. This is the plant I have been flowering from cuttings
of a plant from a seed from 1979.

Previous two posts show the variance of F2 plants.

Each of the F1 mums, 01 and 04, showed a slow and fast pheno offspring.

7 leaf and 5 leaf, smells of hash on stem rub, nothing special yet. Also
nothing sativa about these plants either.

Will take cuttings and go to flower when appropriate.

Also of note mum 04 showed intersex traits, but I made
seeds with her to see if anything interesting showed up.

F2 03 02 in flower, very little stretch so far, starting to throw pistols. More
bushy than I like, hopefully will grow out a little before onset.

Grown in a 32 ounce container.

The taller one was topped right after this was taken.

After I flower and smoke the chosen females, I will
pollinate new flowered cuts of the desired ones with
the nycd x sensi star dad.

Grow some males and females from that and make crosses
of those siblings.

Keeps me interested in this plant, besides smoking it, natch.

The Bagseed mum is almost ready for chop. She has
stalled due to low temps, but getting warmer and will
wait another week to see if she gets more cloudy.

Still throwing pistols, but all the fans have yellowed and
the buds are rock hard. Dropped micro almost a month ago,
cold temps messed her up some.

Not a pretty plant at this stage in her growth with these low temps.

I'll post pics at harvest.

The balance of the project is moving along, slowly, as a result
of the low temps. All the next four F2's are topped in veg and
soon will take cuttings so I can put the seed plants into flower.

The F2 03 02 in flower has crowned, and is also on a seedling mat
to help keep her root zone warm.

She is scenting the cherry smell heavy, and growth is much more
vigorous than the F1's.
