Is this what you call price fixing?

And the shit show has barely begun... price compression has a long way to go (esp. if/as other states follow suit & eventually drag along the feds).

yup. you want to see prices collapse, just wait until a couple of years AFTER the feds give up. when it is either medically or recreationally legal in all fifty states(and growers have a chance to work their magic) weed prices will drop dramatically. that said, those growers that give their all & show love for the plant are going to get the best $ per lb. it won't be 4000 or 3500 per lb, but it will be better than what warehouse growers get for their bulk...:)

I can't read all of this thread so please pardon if this is not on point.

My non-legal opinion is that this is not price fixing. Price fixing and other practices in restraint of trade are things that companies do together or to each other. The government can't fix prices in markets where it's not a player.

This is called "regulation."

I still call this sort of action Price fixing.
It will artificially keep prices higher than they should be.
Supply and Demand they tell you dictates price except when it dosent.

Let the free market decide what it wants.
Maybe if the profits drop so low Corporate Cannabis loses interest and they will go home and mom and pop could fill the void.

But this corupt world will not let the fat cats loose out.
They just change the law to suit their needs.

Plan to limit Oregon pot supply passes Senate
SALEM — The Oregon Senate moved forward with a plan to limit the state’s supply of recreational, legal marijuana.

Lawmakers voted 18-10 Monday to freeze marijuana productions at current levels for the next two years. The state will not issue new production licenses to marijuana growers, but current growers will be able to renew their license
