committee on Crime/homeland security/terrorism is meeting to discuss ending federal prohibition, according to unnamed source. word is that from the list of folks invited to testify, the focus will be on HOW to do it rather than SHOULD we do it. entire article is up on Marijuana Moment, been there for 5 hours. on the other hand, our local gang that can't shoot straight (TBI) has come out against legalization today saying "we seize more marijuana than any other drug." well fuck! i should damn well hope so! if there was that much heroin or meth out there, the death toll would look like WW2 had fired back up. those incompetent horses asses see the writing on the wall -no more gimme busts on ordinary citizens to pad your stats, time to go look for some honest to God real criminals. and THOSE motherfuckers are DANGEROUS!:tiphat: time to earn your paychecks, assholes...

Feds realize that the war on weed has been completely ineffective in accomplishing anything meaningful, and they aren't too proud to turn their noses up at juicy tax money from legalized cannabis. Not too surprising to see this happening, if not now at least sometime soon.

Nice, they certainly don't have a chance keeping it illegal anyways. We have too many states legal and majority are for legalization.

Of course, this is coming just months after Canopy Growth Corporation bought Acreage for $3.4 billion and don't plan to grow anything in the states until federal law changes and this company is worth $36 billion I believe. 10% is actually owned by Busch as well.

Of course, it's no longer about if and is now about how. Big money got involved. Really I guess it's not a terrible thing having giants like Canopy Growth to buy politicians, just going to be really hard for mom and pops growers though we should still be able to bootleg. :)

That

I hope folks are paying attention. Big business is involved, that rug is going to get pulled out from under so many home growers if not prepared. The “caregiver” role will be dead shortly after rescheduling happens, I feel. The black market has some time still, but it won’t last as is. Sure, specialists will survive here and there, but I’m afraid there’s a lot of pain coming for people depending on the cannabis market that don’t change with the times.

It’s not a matter of if but when, IMO.

They will make it a class 2 drug, controlled by doctors and big pharma.. could be worse case scenario than class 1. No grow law anyway... except at the state level of law enforcement. and law some states enforcement relies on easy busts, right AOH?

They have to have 'control' of the cash flow.. tax you know.:moon:

Personally I hope that they decrim/legalize cannabis on a federal level in the USA - Then I might be able to get off the Interpol redlist, and be able to travel again and see my eldest son in Holland.

No - they can't charge me - unless I'm on USA ground - there is no statute of limitations on my case - so says my US attorney - and that red notice is live and active out there - so if I did travel outside the UK - where I am safe legally - I could/would be detained by whatever foreign nation - and held whilst the USA makes another attempt to extradite me -

Statute of limitations man they can't charge you bro trust me. Fed legal weed ? Nope your dreaming

I was asked by NORML to send another letter to my state representative because they voted against protecting people in states who have legalized cannabis.

The term "recreational marijuana" is complete psychological warfare. Cannabis has always been a medicine, and the term marijuana has negative connotations. One truth, one way, one hope, one love! Happy Independence Day guys!:smoke:

I'm OK right now - I have enough to feed my family and keep the roof over our heads - but thanks for the kind sentiments pipeline - the advertising on the site manages to pay for the server costs currently.

Yes - if they ever get me on US soil they will charge me under the schedule one federal narcotics law for selling and buying cannabis seeds - and it has been very frustrating and super ridiculous in my life for the past 6 years now -

Thats what I thought. Thank the advertisers and buy their products. Mars has awesome LED lighting systems. Amazing seed companies too, I have read people like Seedsman seeds!

Thats terrible how they selectively persecute activists. Freedom isn't free. Everyone has to sacrifice. Its a fulfillment of purpose for our lives though. We were made for this! :smoke:

Well I didn't plan on sacrificing my liberty for 30 months - nor the huge costs incurred for lawyers and bribes to get me bail in the Phillipines - which they just pocketed - and kept me in the slammer like some sorta milchcow - till I was broke.

I didn't plan on sacrificing over 5 years of family life too - but hey, I'm not griping about it - what's done is done - I'd just like to be able to travel the world again - as I always used to - and visit my friends and family outside the UK -

So yeah - the federal laws on cannabis need to change - not just for me - but for every one in the world - because most of the world will follow the USA's lead in this - that's for sure.

I doubt it, nothing will change if it's not recreational. Big pharma wants too much money for their flower extracts.

They can control it just fine by adding a letter to the ATF.

If they just did big pharma and shut everyone down well there's still a huge demand for bud, the price would probably go up as well if they really crack down. Pandora only comes out of the box.
