OBAMA AND WEED

Doubt it will matter

Doubt it will matter

Whoever of the 3 win, it will be better than Bush, but I expect little change with marijuana laws. Just no political reason to do much but leave the states alone. And most states have little will to change things.

The courts can be the fastest way for major change, like in Alaska where the courts said right to privacy allows personal use (more or less).

Pushing for medical weed on the state level seems like the best approach for progress, even though at times its just red herring -- but its the easiest thing to get people to support.

Look I support Ron Paul as well but he isn't going to be the next president. I think we have to hope that whoever gets elected will end this ridiculous war on marijuana. I'm not expecting cannabis to be legalized but I think Obama is the best bet for any real change in these draconian enforcement policies the federal government refuses to give up.

I mean for Chirst's sake, marijuana is still considered to be as dangerous as heroin by the bonehead Feds. I hope President Obama ends this Federal war on the sick and dying first and hopefully he will also lead the path towards decriminalization at least!

I just don't see it happening under the old schooler McCain or the wife of Bill Clinton, the man who started the war on sick Californians to begin with!

Obama is a shitty choice, but as a republican I have no one to vote for. McBain is a bigger war monger than Bush, so watch the nukes fall if he sneaks in. He is Bushes joker card to insure his oil interests are on par with current oil quota's. He is the devil number 2. Obama is a fake fuck, but at least the nukes will be at bay.

The real problem is ****on, Hiliary. What do you think the arab world will do once the ruler of the free world is now a woman. They hate their women, or at least view them as a lesser of the two sexes. And if we throw a women in there, it is almost moking the whole Muzlim culture by throwing in a women. Not good, Any one think she has the stomach for a war. Not me!

The thing with Obama is seems to be dangerously clueless on international affairs. He wants to pull forces completely out of a country with resources that was at one time the cradle of civilization, Iraq.

But he would send US forces into a region that is nothing more than mountains to go on a wild goose chase for insurgents that would be hard to find. This country, Pakistan has an unstable government, nuclear weapons and a big time "little man" complex plus, they have a neighbor with nuclear weapons that hates them. If Obama did what he said the nukes could very well fly! I agree with you completely that he is fake. He is a clueless poser, IMO. While someone like McCain or even Clinton is more cold and calculating on international affairs.

My big beef with the Bush administration is domestic issues, Dept. of Homeland security, Patriot act, state sovereignty, etc. From what I make of Obama, he is all the things I hate about Bush's policies, plus a huge socialist agenda. I bet if Obama became president and he managed not to start World War III he would spend all his time trying to push some unrealistic socialized medicine plan through that borders on utter communism, only to be bitch slapped and filibusted by the people in this country that have a little money left. Thus, becoming a failed one-term president.

Finally, I think Obama will NOT do anything rash as far as federal drug law reforms. His attention will be on bumbling in international affairs or socializing health care in America.

If WWIII ever starts, Obama will be perfect. Both of the previous world wars were under democrat presidents, the real war mongering party. And you're right that he's clueless in foreign affairs, lol. He said that he's going to pull the troops out of Iraq, but he'll send them back in again, if Al-Qaeda establishes a base there. Well, why not just leave them, because they will definitely have to be sent back eventually, lol.

Obama would actually be a good face to show the rest of the world how diverse we are. He's black. He's white. He's Muslem. He's Christian. He's also a socialist. Which means not getting my vote.
HC, we been knocking off the bad guys in Pakistan. Using the drones. There have been a couple of strikes in the last few months that have taken out a couple of high level Al Qaeda guys. But don't tell our press boys. They might have to print it. Couldn't have news like that going around. They would have to admit they manipulate the news.

You're right that the 'world' wants him elected. Luckily for me, I could care less about what the 'world' wants.

Obama wants to pull troops out of Iraq and then send them all to Afganistan and Pakistan. Yet he claims he wants to end the war? We are going bankrupt we have no money to send troops anywhere. We need to close down all 700 bases around the world bring all our troops home and protect our country instead of defending another. We are in deep shit, we are setting ourselves up to be attacked by a enemy and no not terrorist. China would be my guess. Bring on the brokered convention GO RON PAUL!

KingPiff,

why do you insist on talking about Ron Paul and other topics in a thread that is about Obama and weed?

Not only is it off topic, but Ron Paul will never win the presidency

let me say that again

Ron Paul will never win the presidency

That's for sure. . . .He doesn't even stand a chance of winning the republican nomination. People who were much stronger than him in terms of delegates have already dropped out. RP is simply going to try and hang on to his old job.

I think RP has been good for the nation, he has said things out loud on a public stage that have needed to be said. He has been a voice for those of us who otherwise can only scream into the night about our govt insanity. It was fun voting for him in our primary.

But now, it is time to carry the log up the hill. A million citizens have paid / donated to one candidate in a grassroots ground swell of hope and support. I have never seen this in my half century of seasons. The nation is waking up, somebody put on the coffee, it may be the dawn of aquarious. Weed is for voters.

I came in this thread posted the truth about Obama. Then someone quoted me saying don't mind me I support Ron Paul. Hell yeah I support Ron Paul what the fuk are you fighting for why are you even voting for Obama? Give me 1 reason I would love to know why. Let me say this again BROKERED CONVENTION there is no nominee until the convention. No matter what the MSM says, they could say McCain has 500000 delegates he is not the nominee until the delegates have spoken at the convention.
