I'm not sure this is the right place for this, but I'm drunk, so f--k it.
I have never known my, father. I was raised by my grandparents.
My grandfather, who I consider my father, passed away 11 years ago, next month.
I'll never forget him, and still love him, dearly to this day.
Thanks for every thing you did!

Perfectly normal to have feelings of sentimentality when it comes to a lost (to us) parent.

I too was raised mostly by grandparents, and I'm glad I had them.

I drove down and spent the day with my 80 year old dad, we played cards and told jokes, had a great time. My daughter is coming to see me tomorrow, it is a good day.
