A blow for freedom in Vermont

Hazeman’s mikado On the left and Goldfish on the right. They are in 35 gal tree pots. Got a little tall so I have been bending them over. Both are about 6’ wide. Really enjoying having my two leagal plants. The plant number is a bit asinine but I’ll take it. Hopefully they will finish October ish or else I’ll have to build a cold frame for them. Usually I rock early genetics but this is what I had on tap this year. I never see Vermont grows here so I thought I’d share.

My plants have finished vegging and are starting to flower now. Yesterday I "top dressed" them with "Black Kow" composted cow manure. I also gave them a shot of Maxicrop liquid seaweed along with a shot of Fox Farm Big Bloom...

Nice backyard man...:tiphat:

I didn't know you were "allowed" to grow your own in Vermont...

But only two?

Hey, small steps right? We'll take two!

Anyone here grow anything from getaway mountain seeds or oregon green seed? Already thinking of next year.

edit: we get 6 plants total, only two in flower at any given time.

So what’s going on here? On both plants but not on all growth just a handful of tips. Weird purple growth with some leaf distortion. I’m using peters 20-20-20 4 teaspoons per 2gal. Watering every other day. Anyone have any ideas?

still doing the thing, flowering well under way. Having loads of problems. Lots of insect damage. I have never had problems like this outside any thoughts on whats going on here? Buds in places on both plants have purpling/stunted. not all bud sites are affected. In any case Im just doing what I'm doing top dressed with guano today and watered it in with some blue water. Its a shame I'm encountering problems as the mikado in particular is one of the largest plants I have grown.

A fellow grower in my area has it as well. There is a thread over at roll it, no real solutions to be had. I have noted some purple splotches on some coltsfoot in the area. Hard to say if its the same thing. I'm having lots of insect damage so a insect vectored virus could be a thing. Could be temp fluctuations locking them out of something. At this point it'll be what it'll be. Decidedly a bummer, life is difficult at moments.

Nice plants, it's too bad about the issues though. This seems to be a common theme in the northeast this year. I'm also dealing with bug issues this season like never before, and the purple thing has appeared on several growing tips of one of my plants. You may be right about it being a virus spread by insects, nobody has been able to pinpoint it as far as I can tell.

20-20-20 seems like a lot. Have you used that before?

I have, I work at a nursery and we run pro-mix and 20-20-20 exclusively. On pickier crops than cannabis too. I'm a big believer in blue water. Since that last post I switched to jacks flowering 10-30-20, as well as a top dress of roots organic rising bloom.
