Transplanted the runt to Promix and coco blend, maybe the straight
coco was too salty for this little one.

The topped regular girl is leaning malawi, which is what i wanted to
breed for anyway, go figure.

I thought F1's were more even in expression? My first and only Zamaldelica
leans heavy to the Zamal side of things, no complaints there.

But if this new plant shows the broad leaf malawi expression, I'm
happy with that. Yup.

Pics in a day or so. Topped Zamaldelica is growing nicely.

The runt is dead, I culled it. The oldest two leaf, two node seedling ever.

I took some cuttings of my other Zamaldelica plant to add
to this grow thread.

She is the Zamal leaning pheno, heavy carrot mango profile with
a deep, trippy, long, lasting high. I enjoy it much after a 60-90
day cure.

Pics when I get around to it.

Zamaldelica 02 is showing many preflowers, should I take
cuttings with preflowers, or trim roots and pot up to get "clean"
new vegetative growth to make cutttings?

Here is Zamaldeica 01:

She never shows preflowers and her cutting root easily:

Just a look see to find which is faster, cuttings straight to coco vs.
cuttings rooted to water then coco.

Looking good, thanks for posting your grow. How many watts do you flower under and what type of light do you use?

I use the PL L's, 110w total, to flower the narrow leaf
type plants, 11 on, 13 off, hours that is.

Are you flowering any plants lately, what's you style?

Thanks for dropping by!

I'm not flowering anything at the moment, in the past I've flowered under 400 watt hps in a buddies basement (once) and then twice under CFLS (210 watts)in a closet. My little studio apartment is lacking a private closet and due to fast rising rents and stagnant wages, I'll probably be moving a long ways away and I just want to wait until I'm settled in to start a microgrow again.

Thanks for the info, I always enjoy it when people can pull of sativaish grows with a small amount of light.

Zamaldelica 01 cuttings are rooted, the one started straight to coco
has new growth and has been moved to a higher shelf.

The cutting straight to water shows roots and will go to coco now.

Note to self: take Zamaldelica cuttings straight to coco, lol.

Have also taken cuttings of the Z 02, preflowers and all, 2 cuttings
straight to coco.

My flower cab is full of wide leaf types now, they will finish around the
third week of November.

So I will move at least two of the Zamaldelicas into flower around that time.

Like watching paint dry, I know, lol.

The two Z 02's are rooted in the coco and showing new growth.

Their pre flowers are fading. The mum Z 02 has been trimmed regularly,
but not root pruned, and still no new pre flowers. That is good, I will keep
that mum at least long enough to flower and harvest her cuttings.

If the Z 02 is too similar to Z 01 in effect she will go to compost.
Her yield and structure will determine if she stays or goes at that point.

I have grown Malawi and Mulanje and have am curious about the Zamal and hybrids made with it . Hope you dont mind a newcomer here for the ride .. I threw 8 of my Malawi Kush seeds I made in water today .. I ll grow hundreds of them to find one that leans on the Malawi side but with a faster flowering time indoors .

The Z 01 I flower to 100-110 days, what time period
would you prefer, and what makes up Mulanje? Is it half
of the Malawi Kush you refer to?

I agree it may take more than a few seed to pop to find
what you look for, lol.

Here's the two Z 01, although both cuttings were taken the same day,
the cutting straight to coco is much further along than the cutting
rooted in plain water.

I will train one of these to flower, the other will become the next mum.

Here's the Z 02 mum. I keep her pruned and have no preflowers:

The two cuttings of her are slow to start, their preflowers are
fading and I suspect to see strong growth soon after they drop.

Pics soon.

looking really nice, whats the EC or the feeding you are giving them, its working, K+!!

0.8 EC, my light watts don't allow for any more than that.
Feed once a day, up to 10% runoff, hempy pots.

I go from 5.2 - 5.8 pH, wider range gets a variety of
uptake potential.

While i used the MaxiBloom I seldom checked pH or EC,
got okay results. Since I switched to 6/9 I got schooled
on the importance of regular measures for the EC and pH.

Plants are better off for it, no doubt.

Thanks, ive been doing coco for a long time, i have dealt with most problems that i could think, and now i just want to dial in a nice formula, EC as been measured but PH was just like you, like now and then, ive started to give a bigger attention to it now im measuring it, so far they look greener and hare getting that shine, i want to get them green from head to toes, like yours seem to bee, for me thats one of the biggest indicators of health, so kudos to you man, and i will be keeping an eye on your grow!K+

Seems to me, BroughtSuperior, you can grow cannabis very well.

Have you grown in living soil? I did, and failed. Time consuming for
a small, personal micro grow. Coco plus salts allow me to grow my
shit and have the time for other things I love doing.

My wide leaf plants are also happy, I like to vary the smoke
in my stable.

Thanks for your interest in this thread.

yup ive done dirt and still do it once in a wile just for the simplicity ,the first time ive done coco was with amendments back in 2005, but for me now its simple, a good COCO source like Canna or Atami, A\B (the brand is not that important) usually House & Garden,CalMag and Silica (i use the Grotek brand) and PK 13\14, the hole line of House & Garden is great but is a PITA to mix all the nutrients if you dont do big reservoirs, so im trying to simplify.
the Ph mesurement is giving great results, they look lush and green, still the run off ph is 6,60, do you mesure your run off?
cheers
