hanging distance for cxb3590 running soft

Ive just put a diy cxb3590 light together. Ive got quite a good spread of cobs so am looking to run these at 700ma, maybe even 350ma.
I can't seem to find anything online about hanging distances when running at 700ma. All the info I've read about hanging distance relates to cobs running at 1050ma upwards. I'm assuming with 700ma or 350ma the distance from canopy can be greatly reduced.

Any more knowledgeable peeps out there have any idea?

My distances for CXB3590

@1400mA - 25-35cm
@700mA - 20cm

These are just approximate numbers.
I wouldn't want to drive the 3590 with anything lower than 700mA except for seedlings or early stage veg, but that's just me.

Thanks koondense. That helps. Even at 700ma they seem to generate a lot of light & heat.

kushedy, are you using the 36 or 72 volt arrays? I think that the 72v units are spec'd at 1200mA. I haven't been able to find any info on outputs at lower drive currents but I'd suspect that lumen output isn't directly related to drive current. I'd stick with the basic 15-20" above the canopy and see what happens. should be great no matter what.....
