Hi P. and directly in with a question :) Has watering/feeding schedule changed for either plant along the way?
Hi red. I grow in soli and feed with flower-nutes in all my watering.
Since the watering has reduced on the defoliated girls, they get less nutes.
The results will soon be seen…

Cool thread. Everyone always has an opinion on this topic but I’ve never seen a side by side. I personally defoliate not because I have proof it yields more or anything but if I didn’t my room would look like a jungle and plants are stacked pretty close so it would restrict airflow. Keep up the great work and thanks

I take leaves off when close to harvest, three to four weeks from harvest,
my opinion is less big leaves translate to more dense, trich laden buds.

Narrow leaf types I let the big leaves turn yellow and drop off.

Great side by side.

Very interested thread paddi, as usual!

I discussed about defoliation with a growmate and we didn't agree with each other, him about big defoliation et me about reasonnable defoliation.
We'll both have the answer!!

Actually I started 3 of the big girls- Original Skunk - from Seedsman.
Two of them have been part of this small experiment.

No. 3 was put to flower 2 weeks earlier than the two girls in the experiment.

In this pic you can see all three of them.
The early flowering girl in the middle.
Seen in real, it´s clear, that she will yield less.
2 weeks shorter veg-time can be seen.

Well, I just wanted to show you the pic.
Girl in the middle has flowered for about 9 weeks.
The two other girls have flowered about 7 weeks.

As you can see. I defoliate normally...

Interested in what you think of the smoke from the Orig.Sk#1 . I ran their skunk special and was really disappointed.

So you defoliate all the way through flower?

Interesting...

great test be good to see what comes from it, but this is the most extreme defoliation you can do, im sure what a lot of people do isnt to this degree, a third plant defoliated half as much as the pruned girl would of been v interesting too
