I’ve looked at some of those deals. Sometimes it’s just some dude getting rid of his decent outdoor during harvest, sometimes it’s older browned out hay smelling stuff, and sometimes it’s just junk. Never in my experience, does it look like that picture.

There’s a service between SD and OC that offers these types of deal year round.

From my experience you get what you pay for. The market is tight right now. My business has skyrocketed in the last couple weeks. I am hearing from people who haven't bought in years. I thought it was going to completely die off other than the few regulars who demand a superior product.

I had a regular take some to Sacramento for her sister, who can't find weed like mine, or any decent weed at all. They have shops but it's 50-60 for an 8th of fire, taxes and all.

I was getting comfortable with not dealing with a bunch of people, now my phone is blowing up. Me and my wife both work, and she's on the fast track to management. Work Money is tight but it pays all the bills. I prefer to keep my weed money for fun stuff, and day to day bullshit like gas, going out to eat Lol. I have always said a growers life is a manic-depressive experience. Enjoy the high times because 10 weeks of flower is a long time when you're broke.

Can always find a z for fitty, just when was the last time anyone ever said dude smoke this, it's the kind, and it was only 50 bucks a zip. Never.

I prefer the stuff that is never for sale.

Beginning of the end. Canada is doing at least one open outdoor grow this year. As soon as million acre farms go to cannabis, I'm predicting about $1/Kilo for bottom grade. Wheat is $6 for 50lbs here... what's the bottom line going to be for cannabis production? Sales will be slightly above that number from the farmer.

Highly unlikely. But look at the failure rates of what is being tested on legal CA shelves. Something like 1/5 of shelf tested products fail. Consumers are being taxed out of lawful purchases and even if they fix that, no one seems to have a handle on accurate pesticides and mold contamination. People are being distracted with dick measuring thc/cbd percentages instead of the being well informed about crap being sprayed on their plants, and then put on the shelf in flower, concentrate and food form. Interesting to see where things go over the next few years.

I think things are changing for sure, but what that means is a bit of an unknown. I could easily see a “craft” cannabis market rising up to compete with big cannabis. The homebrew market does very well for example, and there’s always going to be those consumer groups that will chase and pay for unique.

I grow for me, not the market. I won't be buying anything from the dispensaries as what they sell is to me shit. Plenty of chemical taste but not the high I am looking to enjoy.

I spent some money on seeds and with trading I have a collection I can't get through for a few years.

And I don't feel sorry for the old gouges that now are not getting rich.

last year when visting san diego, i had eaze deliver (what a great country) '4' small med bottles, sealed with diff weeds... all of it was ok, but certainly not the 'ass-kickin' weed i'm looking for... i think the cost was 40/45 bucks per 1/8...

I live in a small sea side town in So Cal that doesn't allow dispensaries. But, we have vape stores and head shops that are now selling CBD buds. I never go into cannabis establishments (nothing against 'em, just no need), but when a friend visited from NYC he went and bought a few jars of the very inexpensive 'CBD' buds for us to sample. The results were surprisingly variable. We had trouble believing that some samples were below .5% THC. I should point out that, for some reason, my tolerance is both high and low. I can tolerate very high doses of THC, but I can also feel very low ones. Because of this, I think I'm not a good judge. It's kind of like anything gets me high! Oh yeah, and the sample of CBD buds that we all liked the best was the one with the most yummy smelling aromatic terpenes, go figure.

Anyway, it's clear that some of this outdoor 'hemp' crop is pretty good quality flower. We pressed some and got a nice yield of rosin. Apparently regulations are not working, or do me and my old stoner buddies just have low tolerance? Careful grasshopper, I can probably smoke you under the table! ;)

An 1/8 of OG at the near by shop is currently 28 bucks.
About six months back it was 16 dollars.
Interesting to watch how it all goes.

Yes, like micro brews there will be a market for quality cannabis. The $1/Kilo will be Marlboro quality, so top of the bottom barrel. More like a short term life-span product, which sells by the year it was produced. Much like wine vintages.

^^^

This is why I get so excited about most of this minus the odd law and growing pains. My kids won’t have to deal with what I had to if they chose to use, and with the sheer amount of growers out there now surprises are almost sure to keep coming. It seems like a genuine golden age of cannabis discovery.
