Great to hear!!

Well just stopped in to report this same pump although not used as much as before is still pumping on the same set of seals. And is still way faster than the ext 420 we use every day at work. Wondering if any updated version are available?

Glad to hear the 4AAD-2 is still running well! Due to my previously mentioned concerns that media (propane/butane) can mix into the drive air or drive air and any contaminants in it (such as compressor oil) , we haven't made any changes to the 4AAD-2 for this application. However, we did release the AGD-1.5-710 a little while back. The AGD-1.5- 710 is based on our AGD-1.5 Gas Booster, but we changed the internal tubing from anodized aluminum to stainless steel. The advantage of the AGD-1.5-710 is that is has comparable displacement to the 4AAD-2, the AGD-1.5-710 has 60 cubic inches of displacement per stroke. It also has a little more pressure boost capability than the 4AAD-2, the 4AAD-2 can only bring the outlet pressure to the sum of the inlet gas pressure and the drive air pressure, while the AGD-1.5 can take the outlet pressure to the sum of the supply gas pressure plus 1.5 times the drive air pressure. This give it a little more push that could be necessary when handling propane, especially if it is warm.

The other advantage of the AGD-1.5-710 over the 4AAD-2 is that the AGD-1.5-710 does have a separation piece between the gas section (where the solvent is boosted) and the air drive, making it almost impossible for drive air (possibly with compressor oil) to get into the solvent or for the solvent to get into the air drive system and vented out through the muffler - both of which could happen on a 4AAD-2.

Merry December 25th, to all ya'll readers and Haskel International, regardless of faith and how you celebrate it

Kudos and accolades to Dave for religiously tending Haskel pump threads on this forum since 2014 and reliably answering our questions in a friendly manner. An archetype of the customer service that we manufacturers covet when building equipment that we are responsible for supporting in the field.
