Resources for DIY quantum boards.

Hey people. Been an HPS grower for ages. Well one day last week a buddy threw me some nugs from his LED set up. I was blown away by by the quality just awesome pot. I've been looking at various retailers for QBs and, frankly, the ones that are considered high quality(ChilLED, HLG) charge alot of coin. My question is, what resources are available to you if you want to build your own quantum board. I'm a super noob when it comes to LED, so any resource that discusses important factors like :color spectrum, diodes, etc would be a big help.
