Also Tanglefoot is good to use on the base of MJ plants. Its a sticky goo that comes in a large toothpaste type tube. You spread a thin layer around the stem in a band about an inch wide and it traps the little bastid mites. Supposedly mites will run to the base of the plant if they are distressed, and get stuck. Tanglefoot also keeps ants off your plants and from farming other bugs on them, like aphids and scale.
