Thank you GET MO and roughcountry!! It is really, really good smoke. I wish I could share it over the interwebz.

The GLC is very licoricy and Grapey now after a year of keeping her alive!! I've also got her worked out to being about a 65 day flowerer. I think I was having some light leak issues with my lower vent, which I have since fixed that were stretching out the flowering times quite a bit.

I just wanted to stop by and let everyone know that she's still alive and well and I just started a new batch that are 2 weeks into flowering so I should have some pics soon.

Here's a shot from my last batch that captures the true beauty of the GLC flowers. :tiphat:

What happened to them other bagseeds and will you ever make seeds yourself from your find?

Hey Guys! Been awhile but things are going well. Been in the process of upgrading to a Growlab 145 Tent so I can get some Monster GLC colas crackin. Got the tent, but saving up for the scrubber and fan ATM, so It will be a few weeks before I get the party started in there. Just took 6 cuttings from my GLC mother today, so I got some down time right now. But things are well and the GLC lives on and the mother is very happy and healthy.

I want to hear more about these beauties :)

Hey headcheese! Thanks for stopping by! Let me know what you would like to hear about about her. I'll try an answer whatever I can!

Hey Guy Brush! I still have the beans and I'm planning on popping them once I get my new tent properly equipped. I want to pop them before they get too old and less viable.

I would love to make some beans, but I don't have any males right now and I'm limited on space. But if I find a nice male in the rest of those I might try and work something out so I can spread the love. So, it's not out of the realm of possability!

In any case here's some shots from my last harvest a few months ago. I'll snap some pics of the GLC mom so you can check her out in veg. I'll probably get them tomorrow or so. Cheers guys! And thanks for stopping by and inquiring!

Beautiful! I suggest you could use just the STS method to self/feminize your cookies because it's not very likely you would get any males because the seeds will possibly stem from self pollination. So your best bet will be selfing or feminizing one with the other anyway.

Thank you, brother! I have no clue what the STS method is and I've never actually tried to reverse a plant. But I am always game for some new experiments!! IF you could link me a thread with the method you suggest I will read up on it and see if I can make that happen. Yeah, we will see what comes from the rest of those beans. Hopefully another gem or two would be good :D

Haha, you're not the only one! A lot of people are drooling over her!! I really want to get her out to people though because it's some premium smoke and she is super easy to grow. Hey keep me posted on that and we might work something out :tiphat:

As promised, here's a shot of my GLC mother. She just got a haircut, but she is a crazy hearty little bush. She's very happy right now. She just got out of solo cup prison a few weeks back and she was not very happy with the experience, but she's back in action now and lookin' good. You might notice a few fan leaves have a funny look to them and that's just residual solo cup fans that got bigger after the transplant and twisted a little.

Also, here's a shot of my cuttings and a few experimental ones in the back, because why not? I want to see if the material I cut off my cuttings would actually root and they look pretty damn good! So we will see how it goes! Also, here's a shot of a GLC nug I'm puffing on today.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by again guys. Really appreciate it! Let me know what's up with this STS thing.

Hey, STS means Silverthiosulfate and the method is to be found here:
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=58957
It's really super easy if you follow every step. He shares 2 formulas, only tried the first one and it worked well and doesn't cost much. Good luck and keep us informed! :)

Hey thank for the link Guy. Appreciate it!

I will see If I can get this going and get the party started! Looks to be fairly simple process. So I'm sure I could pull it off.

On another note, I just received a PM that I had won photo of the month for march with this photo!!! I had no idea until today!!! That really made my day!

Your post is great!! The plants turned out so frosty! Incredible dude. Thanks for sharing.

Have you popped any of those other seeds yet?
How was the grape cookie smoke? similarities to GSC?

Over the weekend I found two seeds of gelato 33.Your post just inspired me to drop them in some soil and see what happens. Much respect and thanks!.

Hey thanks for stopping by THCFlavorz and welcome to ICMAG! It's my pleasure to share it with you guys... It really is.

I have not popped the other beans yet, but I'm close to doing so. I mentioned in a few posts up that I'm in the process of getting a bigger tent setup, so I'm just waiting on a few pieces of equipment and then I'm going to pop those ladies and scream "YAHTZEE!!"

The GLC is awesome. When you cut up a nug it smells like licorice jellybeans almost exactly. Then you mix in a little menthol/grape/minty/pineyness in there and you have the GLC in a nutshell. When smoked, the exhale smoke leaves the room smelling very piney/evergreen. Reminds me of some of that old school weed smell you'd catch a wiff at your uncles house and didn't know what it was... lol

The taste is very candy like before a good cure. And more refined after a cure - You pretty much get Grape/Mint/Pine/Licorice as the main flavors. There's some other complexity to it as well, but very hard describe and put into words.

The stone is very dream like and uplifting. No weirdness in the high, you're just feeling shanti. Real clean feeling high. I'd say it's probably a good 24-25% THC, maybe even more although i have not had her tested.

It is VERY different from the thin mint GSC. Completely different smells and tastes then the bag I got my seeds from. So there you have it.. That's about the best description I can give on her. Hope that helps out!

Pop those beans, brother! You will get something good for sure and please let us know about your findings!! And if you have any other questions let me know!!

Cheers! :tiphat:

Thanks BombBudPuffa! Thanks for chiming in to the thread! Others and I are pretty sure it's just an S1 off a Thin Mint GSC, but there is a possibility that it got pollinated by something else. We will ever know for sure, but that's the fun (or not so fun part) of bag seeds! :)

Hello Everyone!

@Happy Times - Hey thanks for chiming in my friend and showing your support! Much appreciated!

A little update from my neck of the woods.. Finally got my tent all setup for the most part.. Still need to pick up some pans & grates(run off) for the floor... but I spent the whole weekend building my lighting rigs because fuck paying 600 dollars for a grow light... I built these for a 150 and a 100 of that was the bulbs!! lol - I have 11 x 100w LED's running in there and it's like Vegas baby!! It's way better coverage then a single hanging light and plus it's an easy fix if I have any issues with any of the lights. I also have a 300 watt LED light-saber bulb that I'm going to hang down the middle if needed.. although I'm not sure it's going to be needed.. We will see when I fill out the space more and how well its penetrating through the canopy.

Running a Max-Fan 6in with Can 33 Filter and I got really good negative pressure going so things are looking pretty good! :dance013: Really happy with my new setup! It's quite the upgrade from my previous one. I can't wait to see some nice fat GLC colas... JUst got the lone GLC in there for now because I'm in a bit of a transition period and waiting on some clones to settle in and some new ones to root... So it's a little barren in there at the moment.. But damn the amount of space I have to work with a great!!

On another note I found a bean in a bag of cotton candy I got from buddy a few days ago.. Going to pop it tonight in celebration! And yes, I'm going to pop the other GSC beans SOON!

Anywho, here's some pics of the new setup!

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to post an update and share my progress over here. Everything has been going pretty good. I have planted 5 more GSC seeds in the soil. They didn't feel like popping in the paper towels but as I said in the first post a lot of them look a little premature so they may not be viable. The first two i picked looked the best . Hard to say if they will sprout or not... Hoping for the best! I have 5 more so we will see how it goes with those if these don't pop.

On a brighter note, that cotton candy bagseed popped straight away and its been doing really good. Kinda has a prehistoric look going lol... Smells really skunky already. Its the biggest one in the photo below. I also popped 5 of these outdoor grow beans that I got from a friend of mine up in Mendo before I moved.. It's supposedly Space Queen x Chocolope or the other way around but the details are vague and sketchy. They look crazy indica to me, so I don't know... All the pics I've seen of those strains look more sativa leaning. Whatever they are I'm looking forward to seeing what they reveal. I gotta say they have some super fat fan leaves as little babies. Probably some of the bigger ones I've seen on some seedlings, so it should be fun to see what happens with those. They all look a little different from each other but very similar and all seem to be at about the same stage in progress, so stay tuned on those. Here's a photo of all those new members of the family.

picture.php

I tried my hand at using rapid rooters this time around for cloning but they are just too damn finicky for my taste. My success was awful with them. I could proibably dail it in over time, but it seems like you need a lot of variables to be perfect. I had a lot of my clones grow roots but then just freeze in time and stop growing for awhile. They are coming back after their stasis, but I'm not used to that kind of behavior so it's back to the bubbler for me as that always roots fast and furious every time... Here they are today after 8 days.

picture.php

I'm flowering out the GIGANTIC GLC plant and were at day 17 and it's looking beautiful. I've really got her dailed in now so it's nice to see her really happy and healthy. She's ripping through a pot of water every other day already... Might have let her get a little too big and not trimmed off enough crap, but she looks great. Here's a couple shots of her at day 17 (today) after her major stretching. She's just getting started and she's a really slow starter. She starts to stretch about day 6-7 and doesn't stop until about day 15-16. Won't be until about day 30'ish until it starts kicking out flowers really hard... day 15-30 is tuff with this one because there doesn't seem to be a lot of progress happening and it goes really slow. Then all of the sudden shit kicks into overdrive between day 30-40... So it will be a few more weeks before I have some more interesting pics of her. But she should produce her most beautiful flowers to date because I have done everything right with her this time around. Its's hard to get the perspective of how big she is in the pics.. but she'e about 4 feet tall and super bushy.

picture.php

picture.php

Also, here's a shot of her I missed from last harvest that I think really shows she's part of that GSC family without a doubt.

Anyway, that's all I got for now.. Just a lot of waiting as you guys know... I will post up some pics when she gets more exciting!

Thanks again guys!

Hey Sports Farmer I know I'm late to the party but your plants look outstanding. Congrats on your pic winning. I'm a bagseed fanatic and I just luv what you did with those beans. I'm most definitely dialed in for the show. I've already started popping a few bagseed beans myself, it's been awhile but watching all this budporn has got me motivated to get back in the game. You have some beautiful women, keep up the good work. I was curious though about the lighting in your first setup, were those LED lights? I'm an outdoor grower, my knowledge of indoor is limited at best. lol That setup looked awesome and efficient.

Thanks so much for the kind comments, ManyManySpliffs! No problem showing up late, there's a ton of good threads to read so things can get lost in the shuffle. I know how it goes.

Well, I'm glad I could be an inspiration to guys like you and others hoping to find that dream girl in a mystery bean. I love bagseeds too! That's the fun and exciting part of them.. What will be inside? Sometimes you hit the jackpot and get a real keeper and that's the excitement of it all! So I'm there with you on bagseeds. Most of all the bag seeds I've grown have been awesome plants.. I've had a few duds here and there but it's been mostly a worth while experience.

As far as my lights go, yeah man.. there are just regular old LED bulbs from Home deeps and I tear the plastic "bulb" part off them and off you go. It worked out killer in my smaller cab that you're referring too, so I thought I'd give it a go in the tent and see how well it works. Seems to be doing just fine although I think I'm going to make some improvements and add some more lights on each strip.. But honestly it is pretty damn bright in there... I didn't get into min/maxxing on each brand of bulb and which ones were the best but there are some threads on it.

It's a super cheap and effective way to go if you are concerned about your power bill and heat buildup and getting ballasts and lights repaired... and whatever else comes with having those gigantic lights. I used to run a couple 400 watters back in the day and I was always having to get the bulbs changed or get the ballast repaired and I just got tired of it.. This is simple and works for me and what I need to sustain myself and It's an easy fix that I can do on my own. If i got into a bigger setup that was more commercially oriented then I would run big lights and do it all proper, but this is just personal here, so I've went this route.

Again, thanks fore the kind comments. Glad you liked my setup. It's pretty sweet and I'm pretty excited to fill it up! Stay tuned :D

Hey guys!

Just received my free pack of beans for the photo of the month and as fate would have it, I ended up with some Grape Punch and Blush (Blue Kush) from Bog seeds.... I actually laughed out loud. Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something. Looks like some pretty killer flower times on these guys too, which is very much welcome. Maybe I should change my name to "The Grapenator"

Anyway, I thought that was kinda funny in a synchronistic way, so I thought I'd post a quick update. Obviously I haven't popped any yet.. but I'll get around to it! Garden is pretty full ATM.

Cheers guys! :tiphat:
