I moved this year, and left a half gallon of GH Florabloom outside in direct sunlight. It has lost its pink color, so asked them if it was still good and did not get a straight answer. They said use it at own risk.

Does anyone know the science, and whether light actually screwed up the chemistry, or did it just bleach out the pink dye they add to it?

Try to make some mixes and test their ph and ec, then give a standard mix to some flowers. See what happens, my bet is it's still ok to use.

Cheers

No precipitate? Organic dyes are often converted to something insoluble in salt solutions when this happens. You would think they wouldn't use a dye that's poisonous when degraded, but there's a chance that wasn't even considered.
