Hempy Grow Log -- Flower 1200W Veg 400W clones+moms 220W --

Today and here i begin my Hempy grow log .

After growing in soil and in dwc & rdwc hydro i close down everything
for a couple of years and i give away almost EVERY single part of my equipment.
I am now setting up my new grow room and i will go for the following setup.

-Flower room 2*600 Watt HPS

9 Hempy's in 12 liter / 3 gallon buckets under each 600W
18 Hempy's in total with a 2 meter X 1 meter (3*6 feet)
scrog screen over them ( if i find a solution for moving to flower from veg )

-Veg room 1*400 MH

18 Hempy's in 4 liters / 1 gallon buckets in 1 meter X 1 meter space -

Moms+ clones (in veg room) under 2*floro fixtures



I will build in my basement wich is EMPTY
and 70 square meters / 750 square feet free space
My primary target is to make it as stealth as it can be
i will say that this is my Photography Darkroom.


The stain is going to be AK47 from seed and just for the start
6 skunk#1 clones from a friend and some skunk#1 seeds.

My only concerns for the moment is if the Hempy's will run
trouble and def free , how much they will yield and my growrooms
airflow and temps control

I start my log soon so you can follow me from build up to harvest.
Tommorow i will complete my drywall instalation and i will post the first
pictures few days more and clones moving and seeds start germinating.

Looks like you've got a good plan which is always helpful. Hempy is a fun system I'm chopping my summers hempy grow today...High heat and humidity this summer forced me to use soiless and my yeild and quality actually look very good. Whats your nutrient choice? I would highly recommend the floranova/floralisious+ mix. Also I found that keeping ec low @1.0 kept the internal rez at 1.5-1.7 ec no burn at all and fast growth. PH for nutes was low 5.2-5.3 and kept internal pH at 6.2. Good luck and I'll be watching this one.

I am thinking Lucas formula cause i cannot find Floranova in 5 Liters
and i think is a bit more expensive (this is not really a problem)

Do you use R/O water or Tap water ?
any cal mag supplements ?
Do you use floranova bloom only or floranova grow too ?
Wich is you floranova - floralisious+ ratio ?
Wich is your watering schedule ? ( exept for the first waterings
until roots reach the res ) i mean do you make it as Hempy suggest
full strength every watering every second day or you try longer
intervals or flush waterings .


I have a dwc and Rdwc backround and i am afraid to leave my roots
alone in standing water (i will make it finaly but let me tell my fears)
cause of this i am thinking once a week before my nutes watering ,
make a pure phed water good flush just to make sure that all the water inside my buckets res is new.

Check my air movement flow and sizes it is calculated but i would like some opinions.

Any photos of healthy Hempy plants will take away my fears

@hazydreams The bad think is that i was wondering too for those Hempy buckets
and i am not sure for the outcome i can put 12 RDWC buckets under this pair of 600
and i am sure for the outcome with these hempys i am wondering if i can keep them alive
until flowering or even if they survive transplants , everything is new with those Hempy's
Anyway here we are and we will make it together.

As i promise you today i will post some pics of the drywall instalation that just now finished.

Monday i will install floros , veg 400W and one extractor fan
Two days after that i begin seeds germination and i am completing the room
construction , ideally the room must be ready and test run some days before
plant material come in but the summer is coming fast .

Looks sweet man! You got me big time jealous with the "dark"room!

I too am on my first coco hempy run and am quite impressed with the ease and the growth im getting. 1 tsp GH Maxibloom & 1/2 tsp Dyna-gro protekt per gallon. full strength every watering and the girls look fantastic. no flowering pics yet, im still waiting for some clones to root to fill the flower room.

Happy to have you here and i am more happy that you have a nice grow with those Hempy's.
I am going 100% perlite and i need here every Hempy grower to encourage me cause i am coming from RDWC where everything is under my control and now i am steping to Hempy's wich fly almost in autopilot.
Are you making regular flushes ?
Wich is your watering schedule ?

Not anything amazing to advertise of course cause everything is under construction.

6 or 7 or 8 sad looking clones gift form a friend move in today
and i hang my 110W floros and my 400W for veg i also have in my hands the first boxed exctractor fan that i am going to use to cool down those 600.

most of the clones ( 14 days old ) was lightly rooted on those rapid rooters (i prefer rockwool) but lightly and i don't know if i want to put them in those hempys or let them give me some more roots

Tomorrow i will start the seeds germination and i will continue my
growrooms setup , it is a bad think to grow and build the grow room same time but time not allow me to build , test and grow.

I use rapid rooters in my set up. I have zero problems in DWC... dunno about those hempys tho... i must investigate..

I am using Rockwool cubes for my previous Rdwc setup
as for rapid rooters dunno about those hempys tho... i will investigate
for you.
Thanks for your support to my growrooms setup , forced by you
maybe i have found a way to exaust those pair of 600 outside the lung room.
(almost outside) i am planing exaust in the toilet wich exaust outside.
it is a small place maybe 3m^2 and i think that the temps inside the toilet
will be for sure over 100* F winter time (it is going to be fun !! )

Well i haven't anything awesome as an uptade.
Yesterday i bring in those sad clones setup floro and 400mh

Today i build two large runoff tables from woods and i am going
to "dress" them with some white sheeting so i can catch the runoff
i put them on wheels too so i can transfer all 18 plants together
when i was making micromanagment,maybe i will put a scrog screen
over them ,the runoff tables is 4*4 foot for the 400 mh
(i will use smaller dimensions but i build large so i can make upgrate to my veg lights)
the other one is 3*6 foot 3*3 for each 600 and i am going to use every inch of
it , i am thinking buying rectangular containers cause they can utilize
my space better (read it in Hempy Hempy thread)

Tommorow i will start my seeds germination 12 fem AK47 , 5 Skunk #1 , 1 fem Top 44
i will also start meshing with my electricity setup i have one 20 Amp + one 16 Amp
breakers but the cords must travel 25 meters to reach my growrooms will see.
planing to hang my ballast outside the growrooms inside the lung room.

My (little) knowledge travels with you! Have done it once and went okay. Feel free to ask if anything comes up.

First piece of advice though: Better to pot hempys from tiny to middle to large containers than straight to large. Large containers with small roots is going to stall your growth. And coco + perlite = Highly recommended.

i am going for 100% perlite cause i cannot find Vermiculite ,
today i found here i can buy some vermiculite
do you guys think that it is better to go with the original recipe perlite/vermiculite ?

*krhm*coco 70 + 30 perlite *krhm* if it is possible to find any good coco around there...

It seems like everyone has their own way of running hempy's, and a lot of the time it might be that some mediums aren't available, so I really don't think it matters much what you use. Hempy himself has been using coco, and so have a lot of other growers,with good success.

and because i found Vermiculite but it is hard to find coco core i will probably go
for Perlite?vermiculite mix.

As i told you yesterday i start the germination for 18 seeds today and i have some
photos from the seeds and from the runoff tables.
I'm going to lower the tilt and when the time is come
dress them with white foil.
