Great plants and superb photography,. SourBear. Pulling up a chair.

Thanks Swampy! Appreciate the kind words, I can't wait to start getting macro shots of all the buds!

6/8 Caboose plants have had their skirts cleaned out. Finishing the last two tomorrow morning then I'll get a pick with all of their stocks showing!

UPDATE FOR THE CABOOSE PLANTS

All of the caboose girls are finally cleaned up.

9jpwPfp.jpg

I also went around and stacked rocks over all of the top soil. Theres a couple reason why I do this:
SiyyraN.jpg

Firstly: It traps humidity and keeps my soil damp for longer.
The sun has been stealing water out of my pots before the girls had a chance to drink it.
And Secondly: Fungus eats rocks ^_^
I supplement mycho to my plants in both feedings and sprays on the top soil!
Paul Staments says that different types of fungus will break down rocks and use the minerals in them.
And Zepp Holzer claims the rocks he uses in his farming methods help with water retention!

After many many hours of listening and watching to both Zepp and Paul.... I've added some of their methods to my garden and have been reaping the rewards!

Here is the first budding flowers of CAB #6, she has the biggest budding sites so far!

Cream Update
Here is a macro shot of a single bud from one of the 12 cream plants.
You can see the pistils are JUST starting to turn dark orange at their tops.
They are smelling less and less like vanilla each day and smelling more sour

Hey guys some some incredibly random stuff to post today. Just kinda Off the wall stuff that most people don't pay attention to!

So last week when I was trimming up the caboose plants.
Some branches got broken during the trimming process.
I took some of the larger branches that got broken or cut on accident and put them into the little creek.
OxpSYNV.jpg

I took the stem and placed it into the creek bed with some rocks to prop her up.
I pulled out the stem to take a look at what kind of roots have shown up and found something strange.....

9SbRJfg.jpg

Some sort of leech or snail has taken a liking to the plant...
All I can think of is the nutrient salt leftovers or the plants residual juices are what they are after.
You can even see the strands of eggs they have left on the stem.

This is an inside look of one of the Cream plants. I went inside and trimmed up two girls lower branches a bit today.

aOrlRfT.jpg

here is the smallest cream plant, she is about 5"10 inches tall.
Strangely she is stockier and shorter than any of the other cream girls.
She doesnt have nearly as many top cola's but the structure of the bud spacing and everything else is just more compact.
Can't really put my finger on why she is a little more stout than the rest.
All the cuttings where from the same mother, all cuttings where 12-13inches tall when they went outside.
All 12 pots have the same soil mix
and actually shes at the top of the plot that gets the most sunlight
The spot where my tallest/biggest plant ever grew around 10 feet tall
Rk6zh3T.jpg

Also there are preying manti ALL over my caboose plants... at least 2-3 per plant and not a single mantis on my cream plants....
Strange....

Caboose Update:
Snapped a few macro shots while on a quick walk through
Having to tie up branches and apply silica to them.
Squirrels seem to enjoy playing on the lower branches after i cleaned them up so neatly...
Got some treats for everyone =p
Some cool pheno's peaking through

DGblu2x.jpg

Here is the stunted Caboose plant #8 the one that looks most like a train wreck plant to me
It has the incredibly white pistils and some light orange tips coming in now

2fobHdh.jpg

The pistils on this one are also a light orange
but there is a bit more purple to the leaf tips

And last but most certainly not least =p
This beautiful lady showing all kinds of purple

Caboose Update
All 8 plants Incoming!

Caboose Seed #7
This is the caboose plant that most resembles the Greenhouse Trainwreck I grew in the past. Incredibly sweet and fruity smelling.
The structure also reminds me of the GHS TW. Very similar growth
CnvH9Ze.jpg

AK5yJ8E.jpg

Caboose Seed #6
This plant I believe holds the biggest traits from SCBB. It still has a long way to go too....
She smells like a really sweet rose....
Roses have a funk to them but this has a sweet enticing honey thing to it that i love

And Her top Cola is just... nuts

Caboose Seed #3
She has a really short fat and wide christmas tree looking body to her
Space ship kinda shaped is how I described it earlier in this thread I think.
She also has some beautiful purple tips coming in, and her pistils are not so long but her calyxs are really big
Cool pheno type considering the rest of the caboose girls have long pistils!
The bud formation is not really HUGE like Cab#6 is but she has plenty of nugs!
jsQkg9Z.jpg

M0oIkJa.jpg

Caboose Seed #4
This lady has the largest stock/branches/plant size
She was not nearly as bushy as the other girls, not nearly as much inner growth.
But she made up for it in stock size and length. No soda can sized buds on her though
She has a pineapple mango aroma that is to DIE FOR, maybe a guava flavor
She is a good candidate for a 8-10foot tall plant next year

Caboose Seed #5
This plant has been through hell and back the one in the center is cab#5
J4D4Hkb.jpg

Its top cola has been chipped away at by squirrels, Branches have been broken by them.
And they keep tracking dust everywhere the little fuckers climb
Thankfully this is the ONLY plant that the squirrel seems to want to fuck around on and eat....
I feel like Ricky from trailer park boys right about now....
wdZnUW4.jpg

Due to their nibbling the colas split into 3 main arms now instead of 1 big one, and the top nugs always have a fresh coating of dust on them every morning x.x

Caboose Seed #1
CAB#1 is another shorter plant, has really big leaves and nice buds but no soda can sized buds
Another really sweet smelling plant but more mineral and less fruit nothing to special about her though, not a real good candidate to save for next year. Not for what I want anyways

Caboose Seed #2
This lady is not as big as Cab#6 but she also has a soda can sized bud
I can not get my hand around her bud all the way and I got monster hands.
She has a really fruity and sweet smell much like the others, more of a mixed berry kind of smell, and less pineapple mango.

bsOVHCz.jpg

w6mCS0c.jpg

Caboose Seed #8
This lady is damn near a clone of Caboose #4 but she is about 2-3 inches shorter
She is really tall and lanky, unlike the rest of the short pudgy bunch
She also has the smallest buds but something tells me they will be potent :3

This is caboose plant #7
She was the runt of the seed pops, 80% smaller than everyone else
Shes about 5' tall now while everyone else is around 6ft
And is turning more purple/red than anyone

I'm pretty sure I will keep #7 even though she doesn't have the most impressive structure/bud size.
She actually reminds me a lot of the Kandy Kush plant I grew one year (which is a OG Kush x Trainwreck cross)

So its pretty normal for me to find about 1-2% of my cream calyx's to be a violet/magenta hue.
But i've never seen Magenta/Violet pistils on any of my cream plants, this is a nice little treat.
nyn2PWZ.jpg

There is even some purple happening on sugar leaves that does not normally happen
jTYc3Or.jpg

If you look close, right above the magenta pistils there are some crystals that are turning the same color
