I'm so happy your OP included bacon (although you did mention it last), you can't really have a food porn thread w/out some bacon in there.

the food looks delicious, very intriguing.......

Don't have photo of the 1 and 1/2 gallons of sweet and sour cabbage soup I made today. Used the tomato water from the U Pick tomatoes I put up last week. Soup is in the freezer now for those cold days and nights to come.

You folks have amazing skills. My culinary skills are limited. Like to stick to simple but tasty. I make a mean bean tostada, poor man's Stroganoff and my baked beans have been a hit for over 40 years.

Favorite summer meals are fried yellow squash with corn on the cob and fresh tomatoes and the other is green beans and new red taters with bacon. But nothing beats red meat, grilled, rare and oozing on the plate into grilled portabellos!

bacon is actually pretty healthy minus the amount of salt involved. depending on your body type and goals the fats can be very beneficial.

although personally id do the green beans with pancetta instead of regular bacon. mmm

also if you want new ideas for a not bland pasta salad, a friends girl makes an excellent one using tortillini, cheddar jack cheese and italian dressing, she added other stuff, but i cant remember what so its really all to taste at that point.

sorry no pics to contribute at this point.
