BHO for E-cig - newbe question

I've been reading a lot about BHO and I'm planning to make a batch soon for use in an Ecig. My question is when do you decarb the weed. I was thinking about doing it before I run the butane thru it but not sure the effects it will have on the oil. I've also seen where it's done in the oil state. Input please as I am now to this and won't want to mess up my weed.

Distillate is fully decarbed from high-temp short-path distillation, while purged shatter is mostly THC-A. Both can be used to make vape pens. Vape pens heat the oil to temps in 400-500F range, and thus all of the THC-A is converted (decarbed) to THC when you inhale off your vaporizing device. This is the same concept as smoking a joint of cured herb, as the fire from lighter converts THC-A to THC and you get high.

Long story short is that you do not want to decarb your flowers first if making oil for vaping, however, it can be a good practice if making edibles. Hope this helps.
