It's not down entirely. It's intermittent and I observed it over the past couple of weeks. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to post. Maybe the server is running out of resources during peak times. Either way they should adjust and scale up as needed. If they have some monitoring on their instances they should be able to figure out the culprit

don't believe everything you read on the net it could be aliens
Yeah, totally KingCobra66. I completely agree but the site has been sluggish and wouldn't load a lot of times. Isdown website just confirmed it. This is a tech support forum so I'm making a note of it for administrators of the portal. Aliens can probe my asshole as much as they want but they better fuck off from icmag because it's frustrating to wait 20 minutes for a page to load and time out over and over.

This site is extremely active, so if there were an outage of any kind (let alone 3 days!!!) it would have been noted by many, many users.

The problem most likely lies within your computer(something else consuming CPU and/or causing it to swap heavily) or with your internet provider (web cache down, DNS outage, asymmetrical routing or a complete loss of routing). Or, like Rico Swazi said, if you are on a shared connection (like cable internet) your own neighborhood could be slowing you down.
You can use the following link to check your current internet speed, then compare it the next time you are having an issue:
https://www.speedtest.net

If it happens again, try to check the load on your computer (Task Manager in Windows, Activity Monitor in MacOS, top or htop in UNIX).
You might also consider using a different internet-based "is it down" checker, preferably one that does a combination of ping, traceroute and http gets.
Check the website of your internet provider as well. Most decent providers have an outage map that will actively show issues they are incurring.

a good bet the delay(s) can be attributed to everyone sheltering in place and likely online

I have heard rumbling of a new server... More faster would be gooder.

Duh! What do you expect folks to do while in self isolation. The entire Net is slow!
The 3 day outage is probably bug on that isdown website. I mentioned previously it was intermittent and I was able to post the screen shot after 30 minutes just fine. Maybe next time it happens I will use the link from Rico Swazi's post to convince you. It was down though. It can't be my connection because I checked other pages and they loaded fine. I also noticed it connecting from my cellphone. I think it's a pretty safe bet that it was due to everyone sheltering and spending their time on icmag. I know it's not a commercial service you're providing here that demands 100% uptime and I'm not paying shit to access it. I guess it's like a you have a problem then go somewhere else situation. If they are already getting better hardware then that's great to hear.
