I used a drill to make the holes in the manifold, so the insertions are pretty tight. I haven't noticed any leaks, or siphoning. I'm very satisfied with the design. I just have to get all the pots to the same moisture level. That's the hard part.

what about ditching the coco and doing drippers in hydroton, prolly alot easier to dial the moisture in and alot easier to maintain with the high numbers...

Bobble,

OK Serious question (I have to let him know when I am serious)....

What size drill bit do you use when drilling for the holes in the manifold? that is the circular thing running above the pods correct? Also what size tubing is the manifold?

I have a feeling I am going to have to fly out to MI. and enjoy some of their casinos and
food soon......lol!

that is where i wanted to go with my room( with the exception of the high numbers) i have just cleaned up to many messes with drip systems and went with the ebb and flow instead. now it looks like bobble has found a dripper that works.

gotta be a speed reader to keep up with bobble's evolution:wave: .... that aint a complaint

GREENMATTER,

You are so right....when I went to drippers it was such a flipping mess, we went back to hand watering. I have to move to Blumats if I go to the Bobblepodsv2.

I like the margin of safety provided by the coco, should something go wrong... I have considered going straight hydro, but I've just heard too many horror stories involving crop failures.

Like mega said, the drippers make all the difference. I'm just trying to dial my drippers in like blumats, so that the plants only get the water that they need, with no runoff. It just takes a little time.

The manifold is made from 1/2" tubing, you could use 3/4" if you wanted... I'm happy with 1/2". An 1/8" drill bit should do the trick. You just need a very small hole to insert the tee's, and using a drill makes for a clean hole and a tight fit. Any other method, and I get leaks unless I seal everything with silicon.

You're more than welcome at my place bro. Maybe I can talk you into buying a house while you're here... ha ha... :D

Thanks dude. The technology is out there, you just have to find it and learn how to use it and make it work for you... DIY is a lot different from a system fresh out of the box.

Dialed bobblepods monocropped with the proper strains ftw...bet on it.....

Manifolds with dialed equal pressure and flow to each plantsite`s paramount to provide only enough moisture/feed they need before lights go off and lights come on IME with coco for optimum results......

Holds critters to a minimum as well in rootzones and how could that be a bad thingy.....

This thread`s a winner with lotta knowledge from the last and morphing to the next improvements and that`s a good thingy in MY book....

Carry on Bobble`s.....

Peace.....Fred`s....:ying:.......

Something went wrong just last night. I lost power for about 8 hours! No air moving... No air conditioning... and if I didn't run coco... No water.

IDK how straight hydro guys can do it with power outages. Sometimes the storms are bad enough that we'll lose power for several days at a time.

I'm only at 6 weeks flowering my multi-strain grow... thankfully... This had better not happen again over the next 5 weeks...
