Cannabis cures psoriasis (with pics)

erythrodermic psoriasis

erythrodermic psoriasis

I 've had psoriasis (vulgaris) since I was twelve but unusual stress caused this to generalise. that is my whole body became a psoriasis sore. at the same time my heart rate rose dramatically, I became arthritic, and severe pain truly rocked my world.

specialists wanted me in hospitral for rest in case my heart blew up, ointments (cortisone) and "other treatments" which turned out to be whatever chemotherapy worked (I was to be the specialist's guinea pig or lab rat). I said no thank you I 'd rather die at home. so home I went to wait for death or time to fix the problem.

eventually I got on to a legal trial here in Oz conducted by Mullaway Medical Cannabis. the medication was drops of alcohol tincture on the tongue three times a day and one quarter of a tea spoon of cannabis oil before bed.

the pain relief was immediate! and after six weeks (I think ... I didn't document this) my symptoms began to lessen and in four weeks I was as well as I 've ever been.

now, this is not scientific proof that cannabis cured my psoriasis. the illness is 'episodic' and my episode may have naturally come to an end. however if I have another episode I will be straight onto Mullaway to get more medicine.

if you would like to read about Mullaway you will find him here in the Australia/ New Zealand Forum.
Member 'Smoking Moose' keeps us informed about him.

Cheers All!

I've finally decided to give this a go, I have psoriasis pretty bad on my scalp and facial hair so I decided to take some of the coconut hash oil I use for my capsules and put some the badly effected areas, I also put some on a mole. Tonight is my first go. This batch of hash oil is about 4g bubble hash to approx 1oz coconut oil.

I will try my scalp and sideburns on a weekend if I see some results. The only other times I've seen relapse is when I cut dairy and sugar completely out of my diet for 30+ days. I've been battling with this for 16+ years. The burning sensation and pain from the sores is uncomfortable let alone all the white large flakes in my goatee and scalp. I used to shave my head completely just to get some relief yet my head would be all scabbed up for about a week to two before it'd start getting better.

On another note the hash capsules have been a great relief for my back spasms and insomnia.

I've been using the coconut oil+bubble hash mix on and off, it appears to be helping when I remember to use it. I haven't noticed much of anything on the mole but that may just be because I'm not applying daily right now (I'm a forgetful stoner, what can I say)

Another update - the redness on my mole has almost gone away completely, its much softer now as well. I ended up straining the hash/coconut mixture friday so now it doesn't leave a grainy residue behind.

I have been eating a lot of yeast lately and my psoriasis has picked back up pretty badly, a day of the oil has minimized the bleeding and pain. I think the only way to cure this crap is to change my diet completely which I plan to do soon but its gonna be tough. Basically going to a caveman diet, no carbs, little fruit, no starches... Gotta quit feeding the yeast overgrowth so it will die!

Though I'm not 'up' on what feeds yeasts... I do know that choosing your foods according to your blood type will help.

It may not 'cure' anything... but it will definitely stop your body from attacking or being slowed down by foods you shouldn't be eating. Your immune system will be free to focus on what needs to be done. :)

I too suffer from Psoriasis and Psoriatic Athritis, and can say for fact that it is an auto-immune disease/disorder.

I've read and tried a lot of different Cannabis preparations to try and treat my disease as I've got serious sensitivities to the anti-rheum drugs prescribed to treat the disease.

Of everything I've tried, the only thing that works for me as a long-term solution, is daily juicing of raw Cannabis leaves, using a very specific high CBD strain.

Its pretty much completely cleared my Psoriasis, and is even growing out bad Psoriatic Nails, and has decreased my Psoriatic Arthritis so much that I'm off ALL pharma's and pain killers.

If anyone's interested in my juicing regime, I'll post a thread with what I do with some more detail.

Kine Boisin i need the juicing regime that you use PLEASE is for my father he has the same problem as you,

Made up a lil batch of this for my mom on Saturday.
She said it appears to be working.
She is taking pics and documenting it.
Thanks for posting. It has helped atleast 2 more peeps (mom/step dad) realize this plant is good for more than just smokeing. They don't smoke or "do the weed" so this is really great.
I am happy to have a mom that's cool enough to even try.
Thanks again.

TURBD- Thank you for reporting your findings, and for spreading the good word!

Kine Bosin- I would like to see the juicing regimen too, also which CBD strain?

Hydro Soil- Good tip on blood type diet, I need to figure out what my blood type is, I should stop being a little baby and donate! Although my blood is probably green at this point LOL...

Synax- good to hear, I would like an update on the diet, and how that is going.

i wanna go out and contract psoriasis just so i can test this remedy... seriously, amazing news i am sure there are other ailments that can be cured by our favorite plant... keep experimenting people!... big up to you smalphy!

Just grow badass weed in your yard and when you are ready, rub that shit all over like King Ja~ hehehe.. If i didn't smoke as much as I did, I would look like one big, caked-asshat finger-hash human. ..It would be a layer of protection from earth's harmful elements. It would be bullet-proof.. It would alter my physical appearance, ..it would soak into my skin and protect me from cancer..
If I caught fire, I would stop, drop and roll. Those near me would become slightly impervious to bullets and cancer, ...and, they would get high!

me + cannabis = :huggg:

it has become a foundation within mathematics, It is reality!

:dance013:

seriously, cannabis oil is HEAVY and THICK! I assume it would hydrate your skin better than anything else, for the most part. :) Hydration = oxygen. Seriously, seriously, topical steroids are probably the best for this stuff unless you are having an androgenic adverse form of thickening skin with steroidal medication. Rosacea comes to mind as a form of androgenic skin problems. This is often coupled with oily skin but it does not need to be. I think modern medicine will need to find better topical lotions or genetic engineering to cure this one. :)

umm... Topical cannabinoids MIGHT block the localized infusion of the hormone glucocorticoid. This WILL effect psoriasis, IF this is what topical cannabis can offer ..usually, nothing will soak into the dermal layer of the skin unless it`s pH has been altered (SLIGHTLY). Lemon juice should be plenty.

here ya go, friends.. Doctors and Masons alike often love this herb.

Hi. I have had psoriasis on my hands and feet for a long, long time and have tried just about everything there is. I recently got a hold of some Harlequin and began vaporizing it to see what positive effects I'd get mentally or physically It's known as a high CBD/low THC strain. Much to my delight the psoriasis really started to improve and I have since found some tincture made from Canna Sue (Cannatonic (high CBD)/Sour Tsunami (indica)) hybrid that has really done a phenomenal job. There is most definitely something to this as CBD has a limiting effect on auto-immune disorders like cancer as well. You're not going to get super high from these strains although Canna Sue has a THC content of roughly 10%. The CBD numbers are off the charts at around 13%. I got my tincture/bud from Leonard at Synergy Wellness, http://synergymmj.com/ If you're an MMJ certified patient he can mail both the tinctures and flowers. Best of luck!

What up Shmalphy. How is the psoriasis doing after extended period of time using your home made cannabis cream? Today is the first time I see this thread. My psoriasis flared up for the first time about 14 years ago. At first it would come and go but for the last 5 years I've had it the whole time sometimes mellow and sometimes big flare ups, mostly stress related in my case

Dread from this forum gave me some cannabis infused cream based on coconut fat.

It is solid but if you hold it for a few seconds it melts and is easy to rub in.

I gave my mom some and it is the first thing that actually works for her psoriasis

She has it on the bottom of her feet and had troubles walking cuz she could not place her feet on the ground decently cuz the skin cracked open.

Since she has been using this her skin is nice and soft and moisturized and she can walk without problems and the psoriasis is not gone but almost, so it surpresses psoriasis.

She is now in morocca spending the winter there and brought some with her, it works that good.

I myself have eczema on my face and when i rub this in, it totally dissapears. It coems back if I dont treat myself after 5-7 days.

Sadly i cannot use this becasue i want to do tests for the army. The stuff the doctor prescribes also works temporarily but the thing is that it is dangerous and I have to limit the use cuz it makes the skin thinner.

I was very sceptic at first cuz i am the type of person that needs to see first with his own eyes.

But I did and it is good stuff

So glad once i can make the tests so I can use the canna coco cream again.

Just an update: Still successfully treating my condition with cannabis/coconut oil mix. I have not been consistently applying it (since there are so many other things I could do with my hash, and practically all of them make me forget about it LOL) When I do apply it, I get near instant itch relief, reduced redness and swelling, and disappearing lesions within a few days.

Tried straight coconut oil on one arm and the mix on the other, and there is a drastic difference when you add the hash. Coconut oil just moistens the plaques, it doesn't reduce the inflammation.

I have found that you can get really good results using degraded material, that contains little or no THC and is high in CBN. (Russo Taming THC: potential cannabis synergy and phytocannabinoid-terpenoid entourage effects table 1, page 4 http://www.medicinalgenomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Taming-THC-Russo.pdf)

Also been playing with juicing to reverse the long term effects of the "super potent class of steroids" I was on for years (Ultravate, Clobetasol, etc) I was diagnosed with BPH, and anxiety, which I now believe to be directly related to the medications. I was applying them with occlusive dressings daily for years, and never linked any of the strange side effects to that, but the more I look into those medications, the more I realize how badly they effected my body. The new drugs for psoriasis are even worse, self injected "tumor necrosis factor" which causes tuberculosis and lymphoma as SIDE EFFECTS. If you know anyone with psoriasis, please encourage them to try cannabis.

Sorry about your psoriasis buddy. What's disgusting is dermatologists who won't tell you that marijuana can help skin conditions because it conflicts with their interests. When confronting doctors about cannabis, they become real defensive...this doctor guy had the nerve to tell me once that he doesn't suggest "illegal drugs", yet the people he works for are worse illegal drug dealers in the planet.

Hi guys. I would like to try it myself, I have small patches all over my body and the GP told me to use using Dovobet, which is a steroid gel that makes the skin thinner :((
Shmalphy please give us an update on your condition ?
