WHERE IS THE SECOND IC MAGAZINE???

I hear ya and feel ya! BUT....like the other person said, its been a year! The money is long gone, have faith and get your 4 magazines.....
Incredible patience is WAITING...we KNOW what the problem is, B&Ming about it does what? Speeds it up how? If you bought it because you believe in and support the ICMag crew then stand by your convictions! They have run into a major snag...and NOW is the time for the REAL supporters to SUPPORT them!
MANY magazines dont make it! Lets just hope ICMAG does! But again, bitching because you WANT to subscribe but there are no magazines is different that subscribing and wondering what the story is... AND its not wrong to expect what you paid for....BUT.... we are NOW faced with REALITY! (The difference between biz theory and practice)
For my part.....I subscribed, I would LIKE my magazines, I would like the regularly...but faced with the reality of the situation, I'll wait! I'll wish them the best & I'll HOPE that I get the rest of my magazines!
Whats the alternative? I go to the Cannabis Cup and punch gypsy in the nose because he tried as hard as he could to accomplish something and ran into setbacks?
Besides running the risk of 1)getting my nose punched 2)getting arrested for assault 3)acting like an idiot
what would it do? So, if you subscribed because you support the ICMag crew, support them.....If you subscribed for any other reason and it bothers you tremendously do 1 of 2 things
1)Say to yourself the moneys gone, move on and be happily suprised when the issues show up
2)Look into international law and get a quote from an international lawyer on what it would cost to sue ICMAG for the remaining issues pro-rated.....

I have been doing business with Gypsy Nirvana for 4 years and I too want to believe that Gypsy is a stand up fellow, and all of this will be resolved. I have enjoyed Gypsy's travelouges and pictorials LONG before IC Magazine, back on OG (2000-2003). When I saw that Gypsy was making the break from OG and starting IC Mag I was so happy. I gladly paid my $80 1-year subscription fee the very night that IC mag began taking subscriptions, Feb. 17th 2004. The mag was released and I was stunned, truely amazed at the quality of publication. My friends freaked out when they too saw the mag and DVD, they didn't even know that such a high quality cannabis publication was availble, on my good word many of them bought subscriptions in suit.

I would like to post a collection of quotes that I have retained in reguards to the release of the second issue. These I quotes that I read in realtime and dates are included for reference. Maybe this can explain some of my INTENSE frustration.

Thanks for giving it away! And thanks for the nice words, we really tried to do something very special... and I am working fulltime on the next issue with my whole staff. St. Teflon is working on a fabulous new DVD, and I hope to have some distribution outlets setup here in the states before the next issue gets printed, hopefully in July.

Yes the official word from the man himself... I am sending Gypsy the proofs of the magazine to look over right now as I write... my laptop is burning up in the background uploading immense PDF files for him to see everything in high resolution...

MAN those Photo Contest Winners on Full Pages are works of art!!!

And the Jamaica story is awesome, with four reporters covering the scene...

But I can't give away ALLL of the surprises... just yet...

It's Coming...
The next issue is 99.9% finished and it's awesome!!!!
I'm in America finalizing details for the print run and having the DVD replicated. This time around (due to DVD compatibility issues) we will be making 2 different DVDs. One NTSC for North America and Japan and one Pal for Europe. I realise not everyone has a new DVD player so we're taking the extra time and effort to make this info available to everyone as easy as possible. And yes, you can order it with PayPal.

Yeah....we have the 2 nd edition finished....and it looks good....just trying to find a printer in Canada to get it sorted....then distributed......we have the DVD finished too.....just printing it up...

....those who have paid for 4 editions...(subscriptions) will receive them.......in time

....I have just been talking with some printers in Canada......and it looks like we can get it printed and out there by Christmas.....hold on all of those who have bought subscriptions.....I will still make sure that you all get 4 editions with a neat DVD.....it just seems to be taking longer than I envisaged......new to publishing and all.....bear with me...

.....Due to un-expected delays over the holiday period.....we hope to have the next edition printed and ready to go by the end of January......Saint Teflon is on the case and has been liasing with the printers in Canada.....we finally have the funds for the next print run due to a large donation from a kind soul......and I expect that those that have subscribed will be recieving their magazines a.s.a.p......

...my apologies for the delay.....things never seem to go as smoothly as you initially percieve..

The second edition will be here as soon as I can sort out this mess.......and we will honour all subscriptions......the person in charge of making the video for the DVD appears to have dissapeared with the magazines expensive DVD camera.....laptop and several thousands of dollars that were supposed to go towards the printing of the next edition.....He has not had any contact with me for some weeks.......so we are trying to get thru this situation.....The second edition is currently at the printers but once it is printed we cannot distribute it without the DVD......and so I am trying to find someone that will put the DVD together for us presently...

My apologies to any subscribers.......as soon as we have the next edition in hand it will be mailed out a.s.a.p.


If what Gypsy is saying is in fact true, and I don't necessarily have a reason to suggest that it isn't true, then it's terrible and certainly justification for the recent delay.

As far as reading in between the lines here's what I am trying to understand, How can the video even be produced now if the camera and laptop were stolen? I guess there is the off chance that a back-up copy of the video was made, but if the video has been stolen how can it be reproduced? Best case senario if a back-up copy was retained, I can only expect another VERY lengthy delay due to editing, reproducing, and what-ever else is involved. What is the fault in not being willing to leave my money in limbo? All I want is a pro-rated refund for the remaining 3 issues on my subscription, nothing more nothing less.

I know that I am floating against the mainstream pretty hard on this issue, hence the rather unwelcoming response from the other forum members, but someone has to be the man to put their head on the block. Most of my dialouge contained in this post is highly controversial with everyone I'm sure, and I'm not so certain that my account won't be deleted and ip banned, but I'm willing to put myself on the line, for my own piece of mind.

I have nothing but love for this community, and really hope this will be straightened out, but at this point I will follow Niemand's advice. "Say to yourself the moneys gone, move on and be happily suprised when the issues show up"

Niemand - I hear ya. Don't totally agree, but I hear ya. I'll end it like this, I never came into this thread with animosity in my heart. I've got nothing but love for Gypsy, DG, and the whole ICMag crew. I'll always speak out when I feel strongly about something. Always. That said, I'll take the option of charging the magazine to the game as you said.

Fledgling ventures are ALWAYS difficult and rarely inexpensive...

When one of your trusted "employees", "partners" or whatever takes off with a bunch of your cash and part of your expensive kit it is a major PITA...

Just the same, I agree with those that have paid for a full year (4 issues) and have been just waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting...

It's never fun to pay for something (especially when that something happens to cost a fair bit of coin) and only get 1/4 of it in return.

Gypsy, with all due respect, I think the fair thing to do in this situation is to refund those that would like refunds. I am sure most of us understand that nasty things and hinderences do happen but the fact is that you pushed the release date ahead so many times... and now it happens that someone upped and left with all the gear and the cash to boot...

The loyal subscribers should not be held hostage because of that rotten individual's actions.

If you want to "get off on the right foot" with your fanbase/subscribers I would highly recommend honoring people's refund requests to the best of your ability. Granted to refund all at once would be difficult but I would suggest doing it in stages if necessary, starting with those that signed on first (I am assuming you have subscriber records/payments registered etc.... hopefully they were not stored on the stolen laptop...)

High BH....the 2nd issue is REAL, has been printed, and is going out to subscribers VERY soon....here's Gypsy's post on that below. Also all subscribers will receive all their issues, IC Mag is here to stay, the only thing gone is a theiving, milking contractor/helper...so without that obstacle things should actually go a bit faster and on schedule now and in the future.

Right on! Cool stuff... only thing is I cannot seem to find the page where I ordered Issue #1 in the first place

Could someone please point me to the right page where I can place my order for Issue #2?

All I see is an address to which I am supposed to send a money order. Seems to me that I paid for issue #1 via Paypal before but maybe I'm just confused?... Anyway, Gypsy, if you guys have Paypal could you PM me the account name so that I can send off my payment ASAP. If not, no biggy, I'll get to the post office (or bank) to get that money order off as soon as I can

Blue Hawaiian, Gypsy was accepting Paypal payments a while back, but not anymore, been a few motnhs now. You can now go buy your money order

If you get a money order be sure it's an international money order. A US Postal money order is good only in the states, not even Canada. Western Union is where I get mine.

I have my mag and it's as professionally done as the first one. My feature article along with Soma's and Eddy Lepp's make this a very informative issue. Congratulations Gypsy!!!
