Hilarious Awesome Automatic Kief Extraction Method for $110

Hey Folks,

Thought I'd spread this idea I came up with because I can't believe it works. For a long time, I've tried to figure out what to do with my trim and scrub. I don't want to mess with chemicals or potentially blow my house up. I've always been a huge fan of hash but it's such a time consuming process to sit there carding over a screen. I've got a life, I don't want to sit there for two hours to produce a couple grams of kief.

I spent a long time looking at very expensive vibrating tables and all sorts of gimmicks. Vibration is obviously the best method to extract the trichs from the trim but how do you achieve that vibration?

Well... why not just use vibrators? So I put it to the test... I'll be damned if it doesn't work beautifully and saves me a TON OF TIME AND EFFORT.

1 - 80-110 micro screen depending how fine you want the kief - $12

1 - an exacto knife or box cutter (or just use a butcher knife) - $5

1 - staple gun with some staples - $20

Steps

1. Cut open the top of tub kid so that it's open leaving just a frame of the lid.

2. Size you screen and then cut it so it fits on top of the lid frame you just created.

3. Staple the screen to the frame

4. Make sure you staple the screen well enough that it can support some weight pressing down on it and that it's as even a surface as possible.

5. Take a couple cups of trim or whatever you want to extract and put it evenly around the screen

6. Turn on your vibrators and put them on the screen

7. Boom, you're done. Go smoke a joint and or enjoy the day.

I can't believe how well this works. I just started messing with this today and it's so stupid easy.

I run two vibrators at a time while the other two are charging.

Here's how much kief I produced with a few cups of kief. It looks to me like the same amount I produce in the same amount of time carding.



I just walk in every ten minutes or so and card the parts of the pile that aren't get vibrated as hard, but this is stupid easy.

I'm not as smart as you guys. This is all pretty stupid easy. I'm sure you can refine it and make it better. But so far after a long time, this is the simplest easiest kief extraction method I've come across.

That is until she sees what I did with them.

Also you can obviously take the kief this produces and refine it further. My problem has always been pounds and pounds of trim. Who has the time or motivation to process all that? This is such an awesome way to automatically process tons of it quickly without effort. Then you can either press it into hash from here or keep refining it by hand.

Plus I giggle everytime I walk by and hear the tub vibrating.

Another thing I really like about this method is you know when a pile of trim is spent because it'll stop dropping trichs. So about every 10-20 minutes, card the extracted trichs and when that pile stops dropping trichs. Toss it and start a new pile.

I can't believe something so stupid works so well.

I thought post #1 was pretty swift, but it was that second post that sold me.

I'll write up a proper tek tomorrow that's a little more coherent with step by step pics. I was just excited this works so well.
