Where do I find that, in OZ/NZ?

wow nice list there Galt. Thanks puffinfresh and oldman, I am going smaller pots not big, like grow bags, now.

I really want to pull the 1.5-3gms per watt I'll achieve with Dr.Bud style growing, so I'm using 2L milk bottles until I can find something like treepots - http://www.stuewe.com/pdfs/treepots-minitreepots.pdf

I really would like to get TPOT1. 4" square, 14" deep, 2.8litres volume and I can fit 66 of them under my 600W hps.

Checking out the rootmaker.com options as we speak.

If anyone uses something similar to Stuewe's Treepots but can get them here please post info.

Thanks...

Those Treepots and Mini Treepots look excellent, Cornflake. Similar to the 70mm Forestry Tubes I use from Danbar Plastics http://www.danbar.com.au/products.php?display=16for propagating seedlings and clones. They air prune the roots and growth is outstanding.

Unfortunately I don't think they have them in the size you're after.
Those Anderson Die pots are great too!

G'day Daemos!

I've never ordered a bulb from them, but I have ordered other items and the shipping was pretty reasonable and fast.
I didn't realise they stocked the Ushio bulbs. I've been wanting to try them however. I've heard good things in Europe by growers using them. I'm gonna send them an email and ask if they can get the 600 and 1000 Super HPS's in, and whether they'll ship these to Aus.

I'll let you know.

Cheers

Fantastic Galt great work def let us know what the people at BG say if they can get these into Austrlalia im sure there will be a big influx of these comming to our shores if we can! Growers in the US and Canada swear these USHIOS are the real deal when it comes to lighting. Lets just hope we can get these sent.

Also when you ordered your previous items from BG was it sent stealth to you i.e no stickers lables etc implicating what the goods might be in the box? or did they lable the box etc because of customs?

I also wonder if they can send those cool sun II air cooled reflectors to Australia now thats something i would definately like to order!!! as im sure there would be a fair few people who would get these to our shores too...

Keep us posted Galt.

Ez...Mos

G'day fellas! Pleasure to be of assistance. We're all in this together and I enjoy helping out when I can.

Good news on the bulbs and hoods, Daemos.

I received this today from a sales representative at BG Hydro:

"We can definitely ship to Australia- the bulbs you have requested are available and we shouldn’t encounter any difficulties when shipping-

In order to provide you with a shipping quote I would need the exact order along with your billing zip code."

So it looks like we may have USHIO bulbs and Super Sun 2 hoods in the country as soon as I get a shipping quote.

BTW, all the items I've received prior from these guys have been very discretely packaged, I can assure you. ;)

Merry Christmas to all! :santa1:

looking for a 150W HPS bulb and ballast..
I've looked at bunnings for a security light to convert but couldn't find one, the local hydro shop only carries 250w+
any ideas? or shall I just order from an online aquarium supplier?

here is there homepage on ebay....they are great so far with the orders i have placed...Descrete delivery, fast and if you can find an online price they will beat it. In most cases if you just give them a call you can get it cheaper again if you bargin with them and say credit card trans. over the phone, now they will nock off a bit if you pay by credit card. And i just use the ANZ credit cards you buy from Aus post no id required,
just have a faulse ebay account set up with your safe addy address
You can get the cards in $50,$100 and $200(if you ask usually behind the counter) if your purchase is over the total off the card they will do seperate transactions or you can upload the funds to paypal and place the complete order through ebay

Cornflake - what about something like http://www.trentcom.com.au/rocketpot-S1020.shtml?

Still not quite the volume you're after, but it's the closest I could find in Aus.

Hope it helps.

Hey wow that looks cool!

How much are they?

I would love to find a source of soft rock phosphate, neem cake, diamatecous earth, zeolite and greensand in 1kg bags or so... no luck as yet.

Batphones 'organic link' has soft rock phospate, neem cake and the zeolite.

Would rather get the raw ingredients but its a very good product.

Any plumbers here??

after this.. 100mm or near enough..

the 45 degree double ended rubber sealed bits, and the 90 degree double o ringed sealed bits..

found a place that has single ended sealed bits but i want to make it easier on me and would like both ends with o rings..

if someone could point me towards just the brand of pipe that would be great i am pretty good at searching otherwise.. or even the pipes intended use would be good too.

this was made in the uk i believe..

:)

i find the 24w x 4 power compact (4 pin) fluros to be gold! and the price is also good. they are currently out of the 50/50 blue white globes tho but the stock globes that come with them are pretty good.

Perhaps go to a Reece store. It is probably a specialized product and you need to be a member to get the details off the website. I'm sure there are a lot of products around with O rings like that. It is a pretty common way of sealing a pipe. Yellow Pages - Plumbing Supplies, tried that? Otherwise you may have to door knock. They don't care what it's used for but you will not get the trade price. Know any plumbers?

im a plumber actually, i didnt read too much above but i can tell you its a lot cheaper to just buy 90mm or 100m PVC and a tub of blue glue.. bends are under $1 and pipe is also cheap. wont leak either. using pipe like that with o-rings will be expensive.
