Fun stuff! Thanks for the slug update! God understands.... God only knows what goes on out there!

I have a similar experiment here! I threw a bunch of immature seeds in the hosta bed on the north side of my house and there was a seedling that came up early to mid April! Seems like the seedlings do better if they're outside all the time rather than moving in and out. Unless its a hard frost, the seedlings have mechanisms to deal with the cold, and they can prepare for it physiologically ( at the cell/tissue level).

Yeah legumes add nitrogen to the soil! Thats great, companion planting hemp and peas! The peas grow up the hemp! :smoke:

Nice find, thats gotta be a special seed to pop up on its own like that. Are you gonna grow that one out?

Oh yeah! Its my favorite plant now! Transplanted it into a 3 gallon! Should help bump up the yield if its pistilate! Should be acclimated genetics if it made it though that! :smoke:

Nice, good luck with that one, its already been through a pretty tough selection process so it'll probably be pretty good.

This is my accidental seeds from last summer that I collected so far, its about 10g.

Soaking some to plant in pubic locations.

I noticed the seedling drooping a little, and gave it a little tug test and it pulled right out. It had a clubbed root rot disease infection. It has been really wet lately. Its alright, there's more coming up behind it!

The two noteworthy things in this photo: Russet mites are back and my plants seem to have noticed that they're being deprived of light.

You can see it if you squint.

Yeah, I bring those plants in and put them in a dark closet at around 3pm every day & bring them back out before sunrise.
Water doesn't bother the mites, but diatomacious earth and sulphur spray both seem to slow them down pretty good and the cooler weather we're getting for the next week should help too. Russets only seem to be vigorous in pretty warm weather.

Wow this light dep stuff really works.

Got a female too, but not a good photo of it.

I transfered all these plants into smaller individual containers so I can shuffle them around easier and between the transplant shock and the cooler weather they're not looking anywhere near full health, but thats kinda fine by me because I get to see which ones are more tenacious in bad conditions this way.

I am a, full beluver in stress testing genetics . wether it be for a choice croper or especially for breeding . I stress test all plants .

Years and years ago I got a cut if Hindu kush . she did it up right but only under,optimal conditions . that was a defining moment . what good is the best genetics in the world if you have to put training wheels,on just to get 3 out 4 profitable harvest . .

Any way I am liking your experiment / gamble :tiphat:

Thats great! Just have to be sure to take them in every day. At least 12 hrs dark is what it needs if you have to leave early, just bring it in. It will be nice to have some fresh resin soon! :smoke:

This is after about 3 weeks of light deprivation, theres a lot of male flowers starting to mature. I try to peel those ones off before they open to keep the unintentional pollination to a minimum

It looks like some resin is starting to appear

i'm kinda in a pickle with the amount of plants i have and the floor space of my indoor grow. i was curious, how difficult is it to pull tarp on a pvc hoop house by someone who is like 5'4"?? i'd like to finish four plants that are 4-9 weeks in on a 12 week harvest around your area that are taking up space i need in the next 2 days... lol Thanks!!

Damn thats a tough question for me, because I was only 5' 4" briefly probably around when I was a teenager and I don't have much experience pulling tarps. My plants are in small containers and I put them on a tray, walk them down a few flights of stairs and put them in a closet in my garage for light deprivation at about 3pm everyday, then at about 3am I bring them back outside to catch the dawn. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

about an hour ago i figured out that i could just take veg plants outdoors by keeping the light cycle going with a light so they're in a covered area in front of a large window to get afternoon and evening sun but theres a LED light that will turn on at 3:30am and go off around 11am?? seems like it would be easier to just monitor the light hours and adjust a timer than pulling tarp. thanks for your advice! i have clones that are going to be taken out of the cloner this saturday and i have no floor room left in veg plus i will be taking another set of clones after that. its kinda crazy over her atm with seedlings, and then the rest of my stable i run on the regular.

As long as you get them 11 hours or more of continuous darkness regularly they'll start flowering, otherwise they won't. I put mine away in the afternoon to keep them flowering, its starting to pay off
