Organics round 2

Sorry for the lack of updates and pics. I will get that sorted shortly as its just starting to get going anyway. Today is 20 days since the flip and i am noticing some improvements with the new cmh light for sure. I love the spectrum and so do the plants.

I noticed that the stretch wasnt as extreme this go round and these are some stretchy girls. Stretch only seemed to last about 2 weeks where in previous runs with the glue and lime cookies it went about 3 weeks. Budset seems to be coming on faster as well and for 20 days, they are very frosty.

The glue seems a little hungry in the reused mix. I did top dress early on with more of the used mix with some added castings. I have also given a few feeds with fish emulsion and mg.

I have been a little heavy handed with trimming in the past and showed more restraint this time, maybe too much as its getting to be tight in there with the 6 plants. I will have a tent full of colas in a few weeks and I cant wait.

I will take more pics tomorrow and try to get them up this week.

I know its like watching turtles hump in here without pics but i still have not gotten round o getting a new computer. On the bright side, i have been taking pics so i will play catch up with some bud porn in due time.

Yesterday was 5 weeks from the flip and things are going ok. It is apparent that i should have reammended this soil as it does seem to be weaker. A few of the plants have really been suffering with ca/mg deficiency. I have resorted to using some old calimagic i had laying around. Ive also backed off of the fish hydrolysate as well.

The frost is thick and they are looking good otherwise. I have left the ballast at the 630w setting and decided against using the 700w setting. Temps are good but humidity is a bit of a struggle especially since the small humidifier i had gave up the ghost.

As expected, i didnt trim enough at the beginning and had to really trim up the glue plants a bit more last week which i hope doesnt have too much effect on the end result. Of course i had to add more support as the glue is really an unruly bitch.

Over the next week i will start some more seeds to look for some new new. I owe Bodhi a test of the blue sunshine which is long overdue but i will get on it. Maybe pop a few other gems as well.

Thats it for now and thanks to those still tuned in. Ill make it up in the pic department soon.

Calmag issues compounded now by heat issues has the ladies looking haggard now. Temps have been hitting 30-34 celsius even at lights off this week. The plants stopped drinking for a while which i think may have caused ph issues and resulted in some crusty looking ladies. This Sunda is 7 weeks so i am hoping i can limp them through for 2 more weeks.

I am also gathering items to build another soil mix and venture away from the easybake. I have also learned that i need to reammend after 2 rounds as this being the third did show some deficiency in calmag in particular being i have some ladies that cant get enough of it.

Well tomorrow is 9 weeks and i really could have done better with this one. I shouldnt have been so cheap and gotten the ac out when the heat picked up. I got caught chasing my tail as to what was wrong with the plants be it temps, ligjt intensity of the new light, ph issues, deficiency etc.

I have turned the light back to 420w for the past week or so and will push on to next weekend which will make 10 weeks since going 12/12. The buds look good but the leaves got real crispy and they look haggard. This no doubt stunted them along with the chopping i had to give them at 4-5 weeks in.

Some hurdles for sure but such is life. Live and learn and i will get the jars topped up again.

I have most of the materials together for the new soil mix and its turning into a bit of an everything but the kitchen sink mix. Still trying tonfigure out the amounts and if i just store it or get a couple of big plastic totes and just use them as no till bins. Ill still get these pics posted eventually and ill make a post in the organic section for ideas on my new soil mix.

Made it through the journal. Some great stuff, and some bad luck. We've all been there bud. I shut down for about 7 months recently, because of paranoia. Took me a while to bounce back from that.

I really enjoyed the photos of your glue run. Hoping my Dnets finish like your glue did. That looked really tasty.

Looking forward to your next post brother.

Bmac1, glad your up and running again. I just caught up with what happened. My friend used to go through this and I always wondered how folks can sleep at night in a rented home with a grow. The fact that she didn't even check the room concerned is annoying after you pulled the plug for her visit.
Next time, tell them your mother is in the room, unwell, staying with you till she recovers - she has flu, really bad flu. You could even record some coughing to play in the room so the landlady is convinced when she's hears it through there door. Really nasty contagious flu :)
